There is one at Nazafgarh.  The contact details for the person is given below. Please give him a call and he will come and collect it. Any kind of donation is welcome, from money to cloths, medicines etc. Details are below. Please help him.

Name of the Home: Human Care International, Najafgarh, New Delhi
Contact: Mr Massey, email: hc_m...@yahoo.com

Some background - Home care centre, called the Human Care International which is situated in Najafgarh.  This home is in need of some urgent help, in whatever form, money, cloths and food items.

Just to give you a bit of background on this home. It is run by Mr. Massey, whose contact details are mentioned below, has been  providing shelter to very poor, mentally retarded women, orphaned children, children of rape victims, affected by leprosy etc. Some of them are really in need of urgent medical attention also. Some of them have been picked from roadside and garbage bins. They are in a very pitiable condition to say the least, with no basic clothing on them.

I came to know about this place only yesterday, and it has pained and forced me to write this email asking for contributions, whatever one can contribute, which will go a long way in helping these needy people.

Mr. Massey is also planning to build a hospital. They have been allotted land of around 2000 sq yard land in main Najagarh road and some construction work has already started. He is very keen to complete this hospital and functional by next year. Towards this he is requesting for contribution and help him achieve this noble cause. Even contribution in the form of construction material would be most useful he says.

Pls donate generously.

Thanks.

Sudha

Sanjay, is this URVI office in Sector 22 or is it RESIDENTIAL ACCOMDATION for some Retd IPS officer ? or actually some NGO works?
As some of the senior citzen told me that it is used for Residential purpose and actually got in the name of NGO.
A residentila flat/kothi of that size cost may 3-4 crore.
what is the fact?

Dear Dwarkaites

Here is some more information which may be useful if you are looking for a cause.

1.        GODHULI in Sector 2 is not an old people's home in the conventional sense.  The residents are relatively well off senior citizens have chosen to live there voluntarily. Their children are either abroad or they have chosen not to live with them. I know of one former Rajya Sabha member who lived there. They may not need any charity in the form of money or materials. Some of them have the problem of loneliness and may want to have someone to just talk to.

2.        There was a proposal by the Delhi government to set up an old persons home in Sector 8, near the telephone exchange. If it is there it is likely to have people who need help.

3.         There is a hostel for Blind girls in Sector 13, It is run by Blind Persons Association. There are about 15 to 20 blind girls who have come from all parts of India. They study in Delhi or get vocational training. Some of them travel long distances to attend college. One goes all the way to Ashok Vihar changing 3 buses. The Association often arranges the marriage of girls who cannot go back their homes. They survive on charitable donations to pay for rent of the flat and also for food. The contact details are as under:

Contact person:
Miss Seema (warden) or *****Mr. Verma (Manager)
Flat No. 586,  Pocket A, Sector 13, Phase II,
Dwarka, New Delhi 110075.
Phone: 28031072,    Mobile: 9868552423,    9213 5323 09
(*****Mr. Verma is himself visually challenged, works as a teacher in a school and manages this place)

4.         If anyone of you manages to go to Bal Vihar orphanage, kindly find out and share details about how many children are there, what are the living conditions and what do they need immediately. I  may not be able to go there personally immediately but can organize some money from friends.
Request and Advice: While you must let your heart dictate the form of charity here is a request.
(i) Kindly avoid getting some children over to your place for a ritual feast as part of shraadh or in memory of departed relatives.
(ii) If possible avoid arranging for special feasts in the orphanage itself. It is quite damaging for their morale.
What children in an orphange most need is a bit of additional help in education.  English and Mathematics particularly. Nothing boosts their confidence more. They will remember you all their life if you can volunteer to teach sometimes or can pay for a tutor.

5.        And be assured. You will be rewarded a hundred times for every rupee or hour you choose to donate . May God bless you all.

Best wishes

-p.bhagat

Najafgarh already has a state of the art health center / hospital and admission ward medical facility in the cxenter of the town called Rural Health Training Canter Govt. of India. It also gives emergency services. Moble No. of its medical director Dr Rai, 9868189807. There is hence no necessity to open another public hospital.

Dear Sudha ji and others,

Mr Massey is indeed doing a good job of providing shelter to many
destitute, including children. It seems he has not been able to get
any funds from the govt for the good work that he is doing, either.

However, he has a small plot just off the Najafgarh-Dichau Road where
he has built a three storey building to be opened as a hospital. The
building is quite modern and lavish. A paradox??
