Minutes of Meeting with Chief Engineer (Dwarka), DDA held on 9th January 2019 at DDA Office, Mangla Puri, New Delhi

 

Dwarka Forum Governing Body Members had a meeting with Shri R. K. Singh, Chief Engineer (Dwarka) alongwith other Senior Officers of Delhi Development Authority on 9-1-2019 at DDA Office,  Manglapuri, New Delhi.

 

DF raised several issues ranging from:



1) Dumping of construction waste and garbage on various vacant Plots of DDA:  DDA informed that Security Guards currently at some of the plots are of temporary arrangement. Security at higher level through a better agency being arranged by DDA. 



2) Regarding the issue of DDA's CSC Market plot lying in the custody of  SDMC in Sector-8, Dwarka, CE assured action on priority.  



3) Carpeting/ repairing of all broken roads, particularly roads adjacent to Palam Flyover.  DDA informed that there is a separate department of DDA to look after flyovers, CE will discuss the  matter with Flyover Department to undertake repair/ re carpeting  of these roads soon.



4)  De-silting and covering of open SW drains:   It was given to understand that drains up to the depth of 4’ are not required to be covered and most of the drains are with DJB. However SW drains under DDA will be covered with slabs, wherever required. CE also asked officials to ensure that path hole is not opened.



5) Construction of broken boundary wall/ gates of all parks: It was assured that action will be taken by WD -2 Division of DDA soon as per specified norms.



6) Encroachment on vacant plots, footpaths and in the markets: It was assured that senior officers of DDA will visit all such sites soon and action will be taken accordingly.CE directed to fortnightly drive to make market/Roads of Dwarka encroachment free.



7) Misuse of Park behind Evergreen Society, Sector -7, Dwarka :  CE directed the concerned Officer to protect the DDA land by constructing boundary wall and other possible steps.



7) Bharat Vandana Park:  There is proposal to make a Mini India project in the park and planning is going on.



8) Golf Course: CE informed that Certain hindrance has come up because of road proposed by NHAI through the land. Matter is being resolved.  

9) Zebra crossing: Estimation / NIT work started.    


                                                                                                                                         

DF also took up ELECTRICAL issues:


It was informed that 90% of the work of street light has already been transferred to BSES.CE directed to complete it soon.It was also directed to complete the followings on priority:-

1) Re-placement of broken/ rusted street light poles,

2)  Removal of poles lying on roads,

3) Replacement of sodium bulbs with LED lights and maintenance.  

       

On the directions of CE,   SE(Electrical) DDA  took a  note of all the  points and assured actions soon.

 

DF also discussed the issues related to HORTICULTURE: 



1) Condition of DDA maintained parks,

2) Pruning of trees 

3) Termite ridden trees etc.  

On the directions of CE,  Deputy Director (Horticulture) DDA  took a  note of all the  points and assured actions soon.

 


DF recommended for appointment of a NODAL OFFICER for all DDA related issues.  CE agreed to the proposal and said that  SE(HQ), DWARKA will perform as a Nodal Officer.  

 

As multiple agencies are involved in Dwarka, it was resolved in the meeting that DF may arrange combined meeting(s) of DDA and SDMC where CE/His authorized representative EE (WD-8) will join .DF will organize such meeting/site visit. 

Chief Engineer and other concerned Senior Officers took note of all points which came up during discussions.

 

Meeting was conducted in very good atmosphere and CE assured to take all possible steps to make citizens life more comfortable.  It was also decided to have more such meetings, in the near future.
