Kendriya Bhandar opens at Dwarka, MP demand early start of hospital

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday inaugurated a new branch of Kendriya Bhandar in Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology Complex at Dwarka. With this, 87 Kendriya Bhandars are functioning in the Capital. MD (Kendriya Bhandar) Jagdish Bhatia was also present on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, Dikshit stated that Kendriya Bhandars in various parts of Delhi have been providing essential daily items to residents at the doorstep at very reasonable rates. It is expected that the new branch will benefit a large number of families putting up near NSIT Dwarka. Bhatia said that Delhi will have 100 Kendriya Bhandars by March, 2012. He expressed his gratitude to Dikshit for her support in commissioning of new branches, a Delhi Government Press release said.

 

On this occasion, Chief Minister said the discussion is going on with the Haryana for the Water Treatment Plant being constructed at Dwarka. Shri Mahabal Mishra, area MP demanded for early start of the 750-bed hospital at Dwarka saying that after the start of this hospital, the load on the DDU hospital will lessen.

This is certainly a welcome that KB opens in Dwarka even though it is one corner.

Hope they will open some more in Dwk.

Concerning Water: Our RTI with Haryana Govt still not received reply from HID.

The 750 Bed hospital is still no sign of any action. May be due to next MCD Election all parties would try to jump and try to project something.

Any body can buy from Kendriya Bhandar, it is not restricted like Army canteen (CSD).

It should be for every resident, there is no restriction for going inside the NSIT campus.  Bank, Post Office etc. are also inside the NSIT campus and are meant for every body.

Anybody who wanted KB in their society and having good space, can contact Mr. Atul Saxena who is looking after NSIT KB. He told me anybody can submit his/ her application for KB to him. Rent rate will be 1 Rs per month and water and electricity charges will be borne by the KB. His (Mr. Atul) contact No. is 9013499634.

I went once to this Bhandar. To be honest, I didn't found a single
item which I can say were sold for less than the prices in few
wholesale shops in Sector-4 market. 1Rs or 2Rs less then MRP is common
in lots of stores in Sector-4 as well. Not sure did i missed
something?.

Sector 7, Dwarka.  The Bhandar was inaugurated on 24^th February where all the stuff is available below MRP and it is open for all the residents unlike one at SPG complex where only defence personnel can enter.  

 

Shri Yudhvir – In charge told that initially for about four months, the store will work from 10.00 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. and will observe lunch break between 2.00 to 3.00 p.m. and the Wednesday will be its weekly off.  He told that the extended working hours will be possible as the staff will give extra time voluntarily for making this store successful.  The Wednesday will be its weekly off.

          The Dwarkaites can now make purchases from one more Kendriya Bhandar at Ramphal Chowk, (Near Shiksha Bharati School, in front of Khadi Gramodhyog, Sector 7, Dwarka.  The Bhandar was inaugurated on 24^th February where all the stuff is available below MRP and it is open for all the residents unlike one at SPG complex where only defence personnel can enter.
