If we look at the condition of cylinders of any agency when being carried by the delivery men or by going to the godown of any gas company, we will easily come across many cylinders which have out lived their lives and condition of such cylinders is very shabby and they are unusable. Any such cylinder can be dangerous but the companies seems to have shut their eyes to this problem. I want to know whether a consumer can refuse to take delivery of gas filled in dangerous and out-lived cylinders.
RTIs with all the companies, like Bharat Gas, HP, Indane etc. should be filed to know their plan for withdraw such cylinders from the circulation. The other likely queries can be on the policy of the companies in this regard, names of the officers responsible for the replacement for different areas and monitoring system etc.

I can understand why Mr. Dhunta let them go so easily. In case we face the similar situation, what should be the step we take? This has to curb.

Have u ever heard about LPG cylinder's expire date. I also didn't know. .
"07" stands for the present year 2007. We all were still confused with the terms used above. A-07 indicates the expiry life of cylinder and not the GAS filled in it. This cylinder should not be used and returned to the gas dealer. Expired Cylinders are not safe for use and may cause accidents. ALL concerned should take necessary steps.--- On Thu, 28/10/10, Krishna <kms...@gmail.com> wrote: |
