I request to compile all the help lines numbers at one place. Few days ago, I sent Traffic Police Numbers. This will be very helpful.
The file should be updated regularly.
I shall send some more helplines numbers in one mail so that their collection become easy.

Thanks for circulating this important number, I am sure lot of people are going to use it. I had called them up and was informed that it has started from today itself and lot of calls are pouring in.

Only thing which is bad in this is that they in turn would be contacting MCD for implementation so back to square one.

Regards

Sudhir

Same happens in other dda pockets in dwarka.Cutting of trees either from the base branches or just blindly. Just coz some resident think they own the land, not just a flat in dda.Recently noticed one healthy tree branches totally sheared by a doctor, behind his flat 225,dda sector 9,pkt1.The reasons cld range from lovely shade given by the tree for free to all in this heat.
Request DF to ensure all green in dda pockets is accounted for by dda horticulture officials n no greenery to be cut without due permissions.
Regards.

Beside DF it should be responsibility of every citizen to plant a tree and protect a tree. Even then if some one cut a tree beside calling tree helpline Management can also initiate action for this misdeed.

Request DF to ensure all green ....... interesting, but how?  Who can keep a watch round the clock. This can be done by the residents only.  Every body wants that DF should do this and that but no body comes forward or ready to give time. Solution?

I really appreciate the reply from DF.
While going thru discussion forum it is noticed that few think DF is the watch dog of every small issue. Each one must try to resolve issues at their own level & then brought it in the discussion forum.
Don't misinterpret. Its just a suggestion.
Everybody has the right & free to raise their thoughts & issues.

Thick and very thick branches of green trees under high tension wise passing thru sec22&23 main roads are brutally and haphazardly cut from time to time. Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi reported the matter in media as well as to Forest & Horticulture depts. requesting them to consider some alternate arrangement of the High Tension Wire and till then to ensure that the green trees are gently and properly pruned under their proper supervision and not cruelly butchered but, NO RESPONSE.

Any suggestions / help plz?

My experience with this helpline is very poor, made a complaint about a month back on 6th June and advised them to keep the the name and phone no. anonymous. Today I got a call from 9868501561 some uncouth person was on line talking rudely and insisting on knowing my name?

When I insist on knowing his identity he mentioned that he was calling from forest deptt. and was not willing to give any further details.

This is for TREEHELPLINE.

Sudhir ji, both sides should reveal their names for future reference.  You may also ask or insist for the complaint number from the helpline.

Dear
If you receive a phone from Govt official in ref to your complaint
You talk for short period
You write the word uncouth on public domain for official
Pl review your writing

I know what I am writing in public domain! It seems you have missed the whole issue, I had lodged a complaint about some trees being covered with concrete in the neighbourhood and was asked whether I would like to give my name and details or keep it confidential? I opted for confidential option, then how come someone calls me claiming from Forest Deptt. and insists on knowing my particulars without sharing his own? and for what purpose?

As regards uncouth, it depends on a individual and his behaviour. Why can't a Govt. Official (if he was one) not be an uncouth? or ill mannered?

In our case also, when we asked identity of the people who were ruthlessly cutting  the thick and very thick branches of green trees in sector-22 as stated in my mail dt 10 June in this  trail, their response was very ill mannered. They said they are government officials but didnot disclose their identity and vanished from the spot when we threatened them of calling the police using our mobile phone. We understand that cutting green trees in such a big volume could be by Govt officials but their conduct was unbearable.

As regards staff of the Horticulture Department of our area, their behaviour and co-operation has always been appreciable and exemplary.

Sudhir ji, u r right. There is no harm in calling uncouth which means rude, impolite, uncivilized or ill/bad mannered. How do you know he was really a govt. servant or was pretending to be so and some person sent by a contractor etc.

Sir,

That is the moot point I wanted to highlight!

When a complaint is registered under confidential option, how come the details of the complainant is shared with anybody? irrespective of the fact whether the person claiming to be from Forest Deptt. was genuinely Forest official or some one else pretending to be so?

How and why the details were shared with anybody?

Where is the trust mechanism?

How and why will anybody henceforth believe that their particulars would be kept confidential if they have opted for confidentiality to be maintained?

If the purpose of setting up tree helpline is to actually save the tree, then proper checks and balances needs to be put in place else it is another sham and waste of public resources!

Regards

Sudhir

PS: It is not that I can not personally not handle this situation, being an advocate it is part of my everyday routine. My concern is for general public who are tree lovers but would not like to get into hassles with these kind of people.
