To,

Dr. Manmohan Singh,
Prime Minister,
Govt. of India,
New Delhi.

Dear Mr. Manmohan Singh ji,

I am writing to you as an ordinary concerned citizen of our Great Nation.

I believe you may be aware that Ex-serviceman Mr. Yashwant Prakash Sharma is on indefinite fast in Jaipur. He is a retired Commander from Navy. His fast has now entered the 9th day! He is demanding a CBI enquiry into the murder of his father, a 77 yr. old man. The police enquiry has completely failed. The police cooked up a case that could not stand a day in the court of law. On meeting the Rajasthan CM, case was handed over to CID but the CID took 20 days to appoint an officer for the case!

Questions that need an answer:
1. Are you aware of the fast ?
2. Any govt. action that has been taken to prevent any health hazard that may occur to Mr. Yashwant Sharma?
3. Why has CBI enquiry been not ordered so far?
4. Is the life of common man so unsafe even in the state capitals? What to talk of the smaller towns and villages?
5. It is alleged that the former BJP councillor is behind the murder. The murder was done for property and postmortem report confirms that the elderly person was kept hungry and then murdered. Being a strong political and influential person, the alleged culprit has been able to influence the case investigation. This makes a perfect case for a CBI investigation. Why has not the CBI enquiry been ordered then? Why is the police like a puppet when it comes to high profile cases?
6. I hope you have enough love and respect for your own father - to dig deep into this case and get it resolved asap.
7. Considering the gravity of the situation and the serious health hazard that may occur to Mr. Yashwant Sharma, it is my earnest request for swift action.

Hoping for a positive response,

Chandresh Prakash
