	(A)  In Dwarka we find hoardings fixed on electric poles erected on central verge of a road. Many of these hoardings are very close to traffic signal and obstruct the view of signal. Since these poles are owned by DDA we believe that permission for fixing these hoardings is also granted by DDA. In this regard please inform:   (i)            What is the rent earned from one such hoarding per day/week/month. (ii)           Who is the approving authority for granting permission to fix such hoardings. Please provide complete contact details including email and telephone. (iii)          Is there any guidelines which restricts fixing such hoardings near traffic signal (iv)          Whether approving authority is aware that some of these hoardings are causing obstruction to traffic signal   (B)  Dwarka is full of posters pasted by several political parties, please inform the latest series of action taken by DDA against such nuisance for defacement.

Besides electric poles , telephone junction box & wall writings should be taken very seriously by authorities concerned. They can impose penalty in case their contact details are available.

It look like many of them have PROTECTION from some quarter of DDA or MCD

Otherwise how will these  Advt on Street lights

BTW a large number of Street Lights of Dwarka are not working

A large number of them have only one Light

Then in many of the stretches have very LOW Voltage

Had been requesting SE Electrical to consider changing the old one to LED and increase the Voltage and repair/replace poles damaged or lost..

Fully agree. Majority of the street lights having  only 1 alternate opetational bulb at a time - some clever misdeed

Defacement is a menace... Every carpenter to eateries deface everything all in the name of undefined term called "LIVELIHOOD". Yesterday Uttarakhand High Court on a Public Interest Litigation came out with Land Mark Guidelines on "HOW MUNICIPALITIES SHOULD BE RUN & THEIR RESPONSIBLITIES - including responsibilities of citizens". Out of around 30 directions, 1st one is : "We direct that all the streets, public premises such as parks etc. shall be surface cleaned on daily basis, including on Sundays and Public holidays by Municipal Corporations, Nagar Panchayats, Municipal Councils and Panchayati Raj Institutions",  Prohibition on burning leaves, medical waste.

Firstly the councillors/ government should identify the difference between HEALTHCARE & MEDICAL\ CARE.. Healthcare is the sole responsibility of Municipalities/ Panchayats.

As per Delhi High Court Order Dated 6/5/2015 (Passed 2 years) vide case No.  W.P.(C) 3367/2015 & CM 6040/2015, 6042/2015
ORS32376/2015 and ref W.P.(C) 3367/2015 and 4238/2015 and CM 8212/2015 in W.P.(C) 3367/2015

The direction of the court found NOT implemented across Dwarka Sub City by Commercial officer (Advt) SDMC NGZ and HQ.


This INACTION by SDMC   resulted HUGE DEFACEMENT across Dwarka.

1. Please take Immediate action against the staff concerned for WILFUL DISOBEDIENCE and Not implementing the court Rule and Out Door Advt Policy 2007.
2. Please let us know by what date all the Poster, banners, Boards on Dwarka Sub City will be Removed
3. Please let us know the copies of the FIR and Amount Total Penalised in the respective Defacement Violators.

Concerning Electric Division-5, Central Nursery, Dwarka.  Reference reply to DDATY/R/2017/50202 wide letter no. 385 dated 2 May 2017, wherein it was informed that fixing hoardings on electric poles is illegal and no rent is earned by DDA for these. In this back ground please provide further information:  (i)            Details of action taken by DDA electric division for removal of these illegal hoardings fixed across Dwarka on electric poles, (ii)           Whether any FIR lodged, (iii)          Whether any proceedings under Delhi Defacement of Property Act initiated against offenders (iv)          How much revenue loss caused till date due to these unauthorized hoardings, (v)           In case no action taken till date who can be held responsible in DDA for this lapse

The hoardings bear all the details and google search can provide them at the click of the mouse. But this all needs will power of the officials, which is lacking.
