SPEED POST OR SLOW POST

If you are sending letters by speed posts for prompt delivery, please think for w while as the speed posts are always not delivered with speed. At times, speed post takes same or more time than an ordinary post. As per delivery norms, local speed post and between Metro cities should be delivered within two days and in rest of India, between 4-6 days, excluding day of their posting, holidays and Sundays. 

 

I booked some speed posts from Delhi for the delivery within the city, to Gurgaon and Chandigarh but these were delivered much beyond the delivery norms, the  details are given below. 

 

First speed post sent on 15.3.14 under booking number ED372277406IN to State Information Commission, Chandigarh was delivered on 9^th days i.e. 24.3.14. 

 

Second speed post sent on 15^th March to the Deptt. of Town and Country Planning, Gurgaon under booking number ED372277406IN was also delivered on 9^th days i.e. 24^th March.

 

The date of delivery of third speed post sent to the Safdarjung Hospital under booking number ED288393565IN is not known. 

 

Forth speed post sent on 18.3.14 to Delhi Bar Council, Shri Institutional Area near Khel Gaon under booking No. ED372277905IN was delivered on 26.3.14 i.e. on eight days.

 

Fifth speed post sent on 18.3.14 to Central Information Commission, New Delhi-66 under booking number ED372277777IN was delivered on fourth day i.e. on 21.3.2014 though in between, all were working days. These facts can independently be verified from the website of the Deptt. of Post.

 

Public send these letters by speed posts as do not find any other acceptable and alternative means and pay much more amount expecting prompt delivery which lack many times.
