It's true Reji. Half the time, we back out. Many times due to our work pressure and because of our "easily give up" nature.
I recently had a bad experience with Samsung. Purchased a Samsung phone and after 2-3 weeks, I found out that the FM is not tuning. I called up Samsung and as expected, they requested me to deposit the phone with their service station for checking. After four days, Samsung guys called to say, there is some problem with the application software and we will rectify the problem in 2-3 days. I said, I don't want the phone back which has a manufacturing defect. Samsung was adamant that I should take the repaired phone back. I said no and demanded my money back and they said it is not possible. I sent a notice addressed to their MD, Service Station and Reliance Retail and in a week, someone called to say that "we will refund the purchase price". Chased them and got the money refunded.
If we get behind and enforce our rights, these guys will fall in place.
I have a similar problem with Whirlpool (they took money for some extended warranty and am in the process of fixing them. Will update !!
