Dwarka : As a part of regular maintenance activity, DDA engineers regularly inspect roads & footpaths in their respective jurisdictions. In this background please inform following information:
(1) It has been noticed that there is no uniformity in the construction of tip of the central verge. At some places, it is right up to the crossing at others it is up to 15 metres away from the intersection. This distance unnecessarily delays traffic on every green light. In this background please provide a list of carriageway intersections where the tip of the central verge is more than 1 meter behind the crossing and what is the approved standard?
(2) At several places footpaths are encroached where pedestrians cannot walk for instance in front of City Centre Mall, sector-12, Solomon Society Sector-19B etc. Please provide a list of all such encroached footpaths noticed by the field staff while conducting regular field inspections.
(3) At all the footpaths, now a yellow blind strip is constructed. At many places it is zigzag and it is practically not possible for a blind person to walk. In this back-ground please inform whether a feasibility test of design /location is conducted by DDA after or before construction of such strips to avoid wastage of public money?
(4) Please provide list of all PIO in Dwarka containing name, designation, address, mobile number and email ID. |
