No. Labour/SKG/004                                                                                      09 Jan 2022

Sh S C Yadav, FAA cum Addl. Labour Commissioner,

Office of Labour Commissioner,

Dear Sir,

Reg: Appeal ID No. 240/RTI Appeal/Addl. LC/2021/5178 dated 15/12/2021.

This is to submit that I have no document to produce before the FAA rather I am seeking documents from the department.

Kindly appreciate that this is a matter of interest for the labour class. Due to late issuance of minimum wage notification many poor families are deprived of the benefit. The duty of the Office of Labour Commissioner is to take steps to protect the interest of labour but this simple discipline of issuing notification in a timely manner is missing.

So many people change their job, migrate, die and not able to get arrears of higher wages just because Labour Department always fails in issuing the notification on or before effective date.

I request that PIO may be directed to provide the desired information at the earliest, so that further steps in the matter can be taken. Also appropriate daily penalty may please be imposed on PIO for not providing ‘to the point’ basic information pertaining to the department.

It may please be appreciated that RTI has been used as a platform to raise this issue and I seek full cooperation of the department to set right this anomaly.

Please acknowledge. Thanks

Yours faithfully,

S K Goyal
