There was no supply of electricity in Sect-8, Block-B &A  on :-

10.07.2014   from 2.05 AM to 8.30 AM  = 6.25 hrs.

10.7.2014 FROM 9.15 pm TO 8.10 AM of 11.7.2014 = 11 hrs.

I feel if BSES is unable to perform , why there aggrement is not being terminated?

Mr. Bhutani, The BSES toll free number mentioned by you is only for street light and power related fire complaints only. Today again there is no power in sector 22 from 9.40 PM and BSES number for complaints seems to be off the hook. Really fed up with such odd time power cuts. Had sent a complaint by email last night and got a customary standard reply. Will lodge complaint once again.

BTW: As per BSES reported to DF: There was some serious cable fault at BSES main supplies in Dwarka and the repair expected to complete today. Alternate arrangement also from Bijwasan is tried by them.
There was also some issue with BSES vs DDA which turned into Police complaint, DF tried to settle it and not harm the work coordinating with BSES/DDA/DP.

Lets hope.. Meanwhile all CGHS/RWA requested to kindly provide data for outage so that DF could take it up with DERC/CGRF/Ombudsman and other offices.

Also RWA/CGHS make appeal to all residents to keep AC's at 25 degree and try to reduce the load. As the peak load for Delhi gone up near 6000.

DF is continuously taking up the issue with the Authorities. We are all suffering in various sectors of DWARKA !!!!!

As the temp goes up, this situation comes. Since Last three four days temp is going up and we have started facing the problem again. The conversion that i had with one line man of BSES he told me that the wire and other items installed by BSES is of third quality, which are not in a capacity to bear the load and high temp.

BSES is also waiting for RAIN to come, but i think this time God is not not with them.

The condition of North Delhi ( where distribution company is TATA), there the situation is far better then BSES.

No doubt in starting BSES was very active in resolving consumer complaints and now day by day their attitude towards consumers is becoming bad to worse, May be they don't have any fear of controlling authority like DERC.

Is there a possibility, that if we all dwarka residents appeal to GOVT through written request letter to change our distribution company. I am sure when all the residents will appeal to govt, then Govt will be forced to think over the issue and may be it come out with a solution.

Does any one have an idea whether these companies have signed any SLA with the govt. if yes then we can easily check what commitment they have signed and what they are providing. IF they are not meeting the SLA then penality should be imposed on them and that benefit should be passed on to the consumers

It is far better if govt take the charge of electric distribution again.

Sector 22 look like the most affected sector for some reason. Last night the power went off at around 1030 pm and was restored back around 04.30 am. Poor genset performed to some extent and got disabled after running for 5 hours !!This shut down has become a norm now - interestingly, BSES is taking a stand, we are not responsible or answerable - this is the line they are taking even before courts (even judges cannot rein them !!). Of course when the demand peak, one may have to resort to some load shedding for balancing. That's organised way of conducting business but most of these BSES johnnies are on shift duties. Wherever they reside, there again they get erratic power supply and are affected by sleeping disorders. Every idiot who can get hold of a switch on/ switch off button play around without setting an alarm. I am sure these guys catch up with their sleep in office. Something terrible wrong with Ambani and team.... We providing them data on power cuts etc is not going to be of any help or use - these guys are trained thick skinned (special recruits)...

There was no light in Sect-8, Block-B & A  from 11.30 PMDERC to 3.0 AM i.e for 3.5 hours.

I will request DF office  bearers to write to  DERC that since BSES is unable to handle the distribution in Dwarka , all the Sectors should be handed over to NDPL . This provision has been made by DERC , as has been told to me by

one senior of NDPL.

Besides this Net metering system should be introduced in Dwarka for Solar power generators, and vast intentives should be extended for solar power in Dwarka.

I sent a strongly worded email to BSES concerned officials. In Sector 22, last week was hell during nights. I received one prompt email response giving the reasons with an assurance of looking at the problem. For the past 2-3 days, the situation has improved as promised by BSES (last night we didn't have black out at all).

Dear Sirs,

Having exhausted all means to reach BSES helpline, I am forced to write an email with an expectation to receive some answers. For the past few days, the power shut down in our Sector is quite disturbing. The power will go off around 10 pm leaving the residents in dark as to time of restoration. Last night, in particular, the power went off around 10 am and it got restored at 4.15 am this morning. The pathetic scene is : one of India's most talked about and fancied multinational company is unable to handle a helpdesk !!

The residents have no intimation from BSES as to load shedding schedule. 

I would like to educate BSES that we residents are well informed and possess enough and reasonable knowledge about power procurement, distribution, transmission etc. and the issues that may be faced by BSES in supplying interrupted power when the requirement peak. But as a service provider, BSES should have some mechanism to organise themselves and announce in advance some load shedding schedule for each sector or locality. If there is a load shedding of 2 hours, please inform the public in advance (this is something done successfully by government run state discoms). 

Can someone responsible from BSES from our zone take up this issue seriously - public surely is entitled and possess a right to know and as a service provider BSES is equally responsible and answerable. The attitude of BSES to assume the role of god with immunity guaranteed is not a good sign. 

Communication is the key while providing any kind of service (specially when it comes to public service) and here BSES is not running a charity. BSES charge us market rate (of course after ensuring hefty profits) !!!

I am sure this is not the way to do business.
