Watch out... Good step.. finally seeing some results..

50 Vehicle Mounted Cameras have been procured and being installed on vehicles of Delhi Traffic Police for capturing various violations especially dangerous driving, red light jumping and lane violations etc., so that it can prove to be deterrent for motorists indulging in dangerous traffic violations risking their own lives as well as of others. This will help the traffic police officials not only in ensuring proper traffic management but also for prosecution of traffic offenders since the traffic violations are recorded on the spot.

200 Body Worn Cameras will be issued to Traffic Police personnel on field duty so as to ensure foolproof and transparent prosecution of traffic violators at the spot. These cameras will help in ensuring proper conduct and behaviour of Traffic Police personnel as well as public. Introduction of body worn cameras will bring in transparency while dealing with the public and will help in avoiding malicious complaints.

As per RTI Delhi Police spend Rs. 4,12,,62,073 in 2008-2009    Rs. 47,62,60,221 2009-2010   Rs 14,54,00,000   2011-2012  Rs. 1,37,46,58,323 2012-2013    Rs. 23,12,649 in 2013-2014

The above is the expenditure on CCTV for NCT Delhi by Delhi Police.

  1. However there was ZERO CCTV on Delhi Boarders and Areas that are vulnerable.
  2. Every Major Roads and colonies entry must have a CCTV
  3. Every PCR, SHO, ACP Vehicles must have PTZ Camera to records the events and areas they patrol this one step help reduce crime by over 50% and most importantly if any incidents it will help to crack the crime  and track criminals. (In Gujrat I have seen in Vadodra such PCR fitted with PTZ CCTV) The Tender called in 2009 and 2014 not found any light till date. Some police even started body wearable camera  so that everything is recorded by Cops on Public duty.
  4. Any building that have public access must be made mandatory to install CCTV.
  5. The CCTV records are not accessible to Delhi Traffic Police
  6. As per RTI of 9/10/2014 there were 500 CCTV to be installed in Dwarka Sub City
  7. However till date no CCTV installed other than few market that too many cameras in close proximity. First cameras should be installed in all Master Plan Roads Entry and Exists All Sector Entry and Exists. Then depend upon the availability the concentration could be increased further based on budget and need based.

Therefore request you to address the grievance at early date

With speed breaker they able to reduce 150 Fatal Accidents ?
So where are their locations- Why not then put remaining 1500+ locations. Is that a SOLUTION ?
may try for the copy of the minutes of 4.9.2014

The speed breakers are ineffective for certain vehicles like SUV, Large Wheel vehicles & most of the commercial vehicles and Youngesters who found impressive on speed breaker  shock exploring.

If in a road every 50 meter the speed breaker is created what the  purpose it solves ?

If at all required in certainly Junctions etc it must be the old model large width one...

For accidents in India through insurance system it must be made mandatory to have DASH BOARD Camera (Some of you may have noticed recent Taiwan Aircrash caught on Car Dashboard camera).. Its very helpful & add security over all ..In addition to what now Political Parties promising CCTV and PCR CCTV if 50% vehicles have on board Camera... .. It going to play important role & most importantly evidence. In some countries if  you need to claim insurance then you must have Dash  board camera unlike in our country its common that over 80% claim say that Suddenly a COW or Dog appeared and vehicle got hit!!!! as no one want to say another vehicle hit, if so need to produce FIR and what not..

99% of new speed brakers that PWD put in Delhi Roads are only to help the CONTRACTOR Lobby. The other one Plastic one or rubble one disappear in few months. It hardly matter to Trucks and other vehicles such speed breakers with their overloaded they actually damages these rubble breakers & plastic ones and even the new one that PWD invented within few days of rain & mud that small patti of 3-4 strips filled up with earth becomes one.
As mentioned DTP stll have more responsibility and at least respond compare to road owning agencies.
Regular interaction with DTP & Road Agencies required. But for us  we dont have BANDWIDTH.. Those who have must go ahead..

LAUNCH OF INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES

Delhi Police today formally launched HD CCTV Cameras (CCTVs) at prominent locations, vehicle mounted cameras on vehicles of Delhi Traffic Police and Body Worn Cameras for use of Traffic Police personnel. While launching this initiative, Sh. Bhim Sain Bassi, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi emphasised that it is the endeavour of Delhi Traffic Police to introduce intelligent traffic management measures to reduce traffic congestion at prominent locations, keep a check on traffic violations and resolve other traffic related issues faced by general public and police on roads of NCT of Delhi.

HD Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTVs) have been installed at five prominent junctions i.e. Lala Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk (ITO Point), AIIMS junction, Kashmere Gate ISBT, Dhaula Kuan Station Road T-Point and Laxmi Nagar Market which are prone to traffic congestion, so as to keep a continuous watch on traffic situation at these junctions and take timely remedial measures to avoid traffic jams and delays by way of devising alternative diversion plans and subsequent issue of traffic advisories and alerts to all road users.
