Procedure for reduction in sanctioned electric load for common meter of the society

Dear friends,

1.This is about reduction in sanctioned electric load  for common meter of the society as many of the societies may be paying huge fixed charges @20/- per KW to BSES, even though the max demand (MDI as per bill) may be much less.

2. The procedure to be followed is as under-

a.       Check the difference in sanctioned load in KW/KVA and MDI indicated at top of bills for last 1 yr.

b.      In case the difference is significant , load may be reduced to max 50% of sanctioned load

c.       Application is to be submitted  to BSES Bhavan Nehru place with following encl-

                                I.            A simple request on letter head of the society signed by authorized MC official.

                              II.            Application form (same as per new connection)duly filled and signed with society seal and      photo of authorized/signing  official.

                            III.            Self attested ID proof (Only PAN card/Passport/or Driving license)of signing official

                            IV.            Load details as per specimen,duly signed by the official and certified by govt licenced wiring contractor

                              V.            Test report as per specimen, duly signed by the official and certified by govt licenced wiring contractor

                            VI.            All papers should bear seal of the society/official

d.      Govt licenced wiring contractor are available outside BSES office in Janakpuri and normally charge around 400.00 per society case

e.      In case all papers are in order, the load reduction will be implemented wef next month and reflected in subsequent month’s bill.

3. The above exercise may result into savings of few hundreds or even more than a thousand pm for the society.
