REMINDER TO ALL CGHS RWA & INDIVIDUALS
SUMMER VACATION BEGINNING EXTRA PRECAUTIONS ADVISED
Delhi government’s Home department has made it mandatory for all private security agencies to furnish information online regarding deployment of security personnel, such as supervisors and security guards. If the information is not furnished by July 21 by security agencies, action will be taken by the department and may lead to suspension or cancellation of licence.
“The Home department has asked all private security agencies, who have a valid license issued to them under Delhi Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Rules, 2009, to furnish certain information online, by July 21,” G P Singh, additional secretary (Home)/ controlling authority, said.
“Through the online information, the department will be able to maintain data on activities of the security agencies,” Singh said. The information will not only help the department keep track of the number of guards deployed in various establishments in Delhi, but will also indicate how many guards have licensed fire arms, he added.
“Some security agencies have given their licenses, without authorisation, to other individuals to operate the agency. Also, many security agencies’ licenses are due to expire in 2015. It is therefore essential that the verification process of the agencies is initiated soon, so that it can be completed in time,” an official said.
Until now the department has issued 504 licenses to private security agencies. Licenses were issued to them on the recommendation of licensing branch of Delhi Police, after verification of the antecedents of the Proprietors/Partners/Directors of the company
