Permission of Basements in Residential Colonies by DDA, even on 60 mt.plots and on 6 meter wide roads.

Hounb'le Sir,

Referring to the News of last week that Houn'ble Supreme Court has ordered to STOP all unauthorized constructions , in all the Un-authorized Colonies of Delhi, but on the other hand whether these unauthorized , or Hazardous constructions have been permitted by DDA in their approved colonies , such as Sector -8, Dwarka ?.

Please ask the competent authority , to take necessary action against the officers , if they found supporting such activities ,even in the Authorized colonies .

RTI has been filed , with the following quarries for clarifications.

Please clarify the following quarries regarding the building construction on DDA alternative plots in Sector 8 Dwarka :
1) Please reply that if permission of construction of basements on 100 meter plots have been permitted by this office , even on plots facing 6 meter internal Roads.
2) If yes , how much percentage of basement is allowed of the plot area.
3) Who is the officer supervising the construction activities in B block of sector 8 Dwarka .Please specify his name and contact numbers.
4) Please specify use ,For what purpose these basements are permitted on internal roads of 6 meter width.
5) Whether such permissions for 100 % basement have been granted for even 60 meters plots in sector 8 Dwarka.
6) What provision has been kept by this office of Building department for construction of Rain Water Harvesting, and safety of other Buildings.

Building plans are sanctioned by Corporations. It is better if an RTI be filed with SDMC regarding number of building plans sanctioned during a specific period. Also has authorities be it SDMC or DDA has received any complaint regarding construction going on in unauthorized colonies in Dwarka sub city. What action has been taken to stop such illegal construction. Number of checkings conducted and reported be made public by putting them in their official web site.
