Water charges in DDA flats

Dear All,

Can anyone tell me what are the water charges per month in DDA flat?

I got the bill, DDA had charged some extra amount starting from April 2011. I asked them please explain this to me. 

He told madam last year ka bhi add krna hai ismei, ye increment last year se applicable hai. He did some calculation on its own but

Also they had added last months payment to all the residents bill, everybody had paid last months bill, anyway they had corrected that and deducted previous bill amount.

Please tell me how much per month is the water charges for DDA flat?

Aditi,

Per month charge was Rs257/- per month when last bill came.But if u have installed meter then it should come as per meter reading provided your society has installed meter in 75 % of the flats.

I believe the increase is to be effective from April but this needs to be cross checked.

Earlier it was Rs.157pm, now it is Rs.269pm after increment.

Thanks for the info Sushil ji, Meter is installed in our flat, but my point was that they are charging increased amount since last year April ( 1st April 2011). DDA had given 4 months bill according to 269Rs/Month. Earlier our bill use to come as per the meter reading only.

Please suggest whom to contact.

Rs.10.26 per unit or 276 per month like that without meter.
earlier it was Rs. 6.28 like and Rs. 157/- w/o metr.

As far as I know that if you have a meter installed, then the Bill would be Rs.6.13 per kilo litre plus 5% tax. If you don't have a meter, then it would be Rs.157/- per month.

That means those who get it Rs. 157 installed NO METER ? How could that be possible , was it not respondibility of the DDA to install meter for all flats ?

This would ENCOURAGE only misuse of water in my opinion. As there was many occassion the RWA Office bearers raised the overflow of water tankers in flats.

 

Coming back to Rates for Dwarka, a diffent rates that too ONLY FOR DWARKITES. This discrimination must be fought.

This in addition to very low supply of Safe Drinking water to Dwarka of mere 3.5 MGD

Unfortunately we are not getting support from our ELITE residents.

this is an old story dear.  from april 2011 it has been revised.

u r right Reji.

Unfortunately 95 % people who had been alloted DDA flats have sold the flat and till now some of them have been sold many times so even at the time of taking the possession DDA had provided the water meter no one took the headache to install it.Now what DDA is saying unless 75 % people installed the meter they wont send the bill on the basis of meter reading.

The new rate for those who have not installed the meter is Rs. 269 pm.  With meter the minimum amount is increased from Rs 50 to Rs 86 and meter reading rate is increased to Rs.7.6/Klt. The increment is from 1/4/2012 or from the date the bill is due whichever is earlier.

we had already paid for the last year as per the meter reading and rate of Rs 6.38/ltr, but DDA person said that you have to pay as per the increased rate that is Rs 10.16/ltr from 1 April 2011.

He did some calculation and made a bill of around 1100Rs, When I asked him about the calculation he was blank, and said this is our internal calculation.

Many people in our society have shown their meter as not working/damaged and enjoying unlimited water with a rate of Rs 157 per month.

Please help me out whom should I contact for this issue.

They can not claim the a rate fixed in April 2012 for charge from Apr 2011.

The guys must be wrong in their and just wanted to impress upon to ADJUST...

File an RTI that would help you and many others like.

 

Questions :

 

1. As per Policy of DDA, Dates on DDA Water Supply Rates were revised since 2005.
2. Provde copies of the decision of revision of water tariff (Please inform by email/phone number of pages and amount to be paid for photocopies as per Rs. 2 per page).
3. The Flat No. xx, Apartment Name, Sector x, Dwarka received a bill amount to Rs. xx charged from April 2011. Please provide office order to charge Rs. 10.16 per KL from April 2011.
4. Measures taken as per RECORDS and Documents by DDA to ensure all water supplied are Equal and Charged Equal.
5. Please provide the Hirearchywise Contact, Email, fax of offiials dealing with Water Tarrif for DDA
