Smart water meters for DDA pockets

Djb in collaboration with L&T is providing/changing water meters with integrated RF chip. These smart meters will provide you details of consumption day wise so that we all can wisely save water n electricity. Meter Reading will also become easy and accurate even when ur house is locked. Once the meter is installed, every consumer will get ID number against which bills will be raised. This facility is applicable for DDA pockets . For details click link below:

Majority of the CGHS water meter are 50 or 100 mm in size.I doubt L&T have such meters
Its good step for AMR based meter by DJB.

Infact DJB/L&T should provide each of the CGHS for each Flats these AMR and make each Flat in CGHS accountable for the potable water use. Considering the VOLUME of water supplied & Payment received from CGHS & the Taxes paid by CGHS and most importantly for a FORWARD Saving plan. I am sure CEO/DJB Minister will consider this proposal.

 

If DJB& L&T could work out this project in over 365 CGHS Apartment and over 50000 Flats with meter in addition to what they doing currently in DDA Pockets. IT WILL BE HUGE WATER SAVING in Dwarka.

Currently the flats in CGHS Flat are without water meter resulting HUGE WASTE.
The moment individual water meter comes people start realising the VALUE of WATER.

We had also requested the DJB to initiate a dual pipe supply in Dwarka to RE-USE the Non-potable water for Toilet/Parks/Washing etc.. In Dwarka this is very much feasible & could be implemented Sector wise in phase manner.

Dear Mr Rajimon, good and perhaps only way to control wastage of water in flats. What are financial effect of installation of water meters to flat owners. When I was planning such a scheme,the cost was coming to approximately Rs 15000/- or so. The members opined that cost is very high and defered the project. Brig Arora, Appu Enclave.

That is exactly the reason I suggest to DJB to bear the cost or may be even partial. If invested now by DJB that is SAVER for them too.

Currently these L&T meters seems to be FREE for DDA Pockets in lie of old Meter ? May be some hidden cost or recovery in

We hear from the residents whether these meters have been installed in all sectors or not.We need to follow up with DJB on the billing issue.We are still not sure why billing is not being done when DJB took over almost two years back.

We require feedback from all of you so that it can be followed.

Since 1st April 15 to till date, no bill receive from DJB. It will be huge amount & create financial burden. 

Please arrange to followup on this big issue.
