This is with reference to your application dated 23/09/2010( received in this office on 08/10/2010) under the RTI Act, 2005, the information requested in the aforesaid application is given below:-
Para 1- The details of staff deployed by the Electrical Inspectorate, Labour Department for inspection of lifts in Dwarka is as given below:-

Para-2 There are about 14000 lifts installed in the buildings located in Delhi except building maintained by Public Works Department and Military Engineering Services and total no. of Inspectors are 28 (One Electrical Inspector, One Dy. Electrical Inspector, Eight Asstt. Electrical Inspectors & Eighteen Electrical Overseers)
a) As per record, a lift Inspector inspects an average 80 to 100 lifts in a month & about 1000 lifts in a year.
b) At present, there is no shortfall of lift Inspectors with the department.
Para-3 The lift Inspector works on all the working days of the year & issue certificates for all the lifts which he had inspected.
Para-4 No certificated was issued without visiting the site.
Para -5 The list of societies in Dwarka in where lifts certificates were issued after carrying out inspections in the year 2010 is being enclosed herewith as Annexure-A.
a) The department is in the process of computerization of lift’s records and shall disclose the status of lifts as and when the computerization system is ready.
b) After development of software for computerization of lift, the detail shall be published on the website.
Para- 6 All the Gazette staff of the department which includes Electrical Inspector, Dy. Electrical Inspectors & Asstt. Electrical Inspectors submit there Annual Assets and Transaction details to the department as per conduct rule.

Subject : Application under Right to Information Act.
Ref: Licensing & inspection of Lifts, Certification of Electrical Installations.
1. Please provide the Name,Designation,Mobile No, Email of the respective officials, SE, XE, AE,JE,staffs for Lift Inspection in Dwarka as per Section 4 of RTI Act 2005 and Manual No 9 Directory of Employees.
3. In one year how many days these Inspectors work and how many certificates issued AFTER INSPECTION AT SITE ?
4. Have as per record any Lifts Certificate issued without visiting site ?
6. Have all the Lift Inspectors submit their Annual Assets and Transaction list as per conduct rule? Please provide list of staff submitted and those not submitted
a. If not submitted please provide the departmental action taken in this regard so far.
b. Please provide if any department action excluded and reason recorded by concerned heads for the exclusion of action in this regard.
Please provide the all requested information as above IN ENGLISH and once the information is received as per request and as per RTI the inspection of the records/files will be done in coordination with concerned departments(please indicate date and time). If any charges to be paid for photocopies kindly mentions the number of pages and amount. If any information available on the department website, kindly mention the link in the answers.
