PUBLIC, “INTERNATIONAL” AND “WORLD” SCHOOLS

First, we used to listen about Public Schools and knew the difference between Govt. school and Public schools.  Now, for the few years, we are also listening about the International and World Schools like Dwarka International School, ITL International School and OPG world school.

How these schools are different from Public Schools and what are the minimum requirement for becoming International and World Schools? By suffixing word ‘International’ and ‘World ‘, they charge exorbitant fee according to their own whims and fancies without justifying the same.  If this goes, one day, we may hear about space, celestial, galaxy, cosmos schools too operating on this earth. We do not know whether all the International and World schools are comparable to national and public schools.

If any member is aware of the fact, please share of inform from whether the information can be obtained.

I ,fully endorse these views and we must write to these schools and confirm their registrations with these names and must question the Ministry of Education/HRD as to what is the creteria for registration as "International" or "World" schools and how are they different from the other Public or convent schools? This would be quite a revelation??? This is not only applicable to Dwarka but all over Delhi and all over India.Needs to be questioned definately for the education purposes at least??

Guptaji,
It has nothing to do with name.Only logic is to put this word is to give impression that the quality is of International standard. It is well under the Directorate of Education and whatever information you want can get from there.

Hi members,

World schools follow international curriculam mostly usa or uk. These schools are worldwide and meant for children of expats. However this seems to be mis used in india.

In dwarka i know one world school -opg that follow uk curriculam and has affliation. However they are also catering resident indian and therefore start using cbsc in class 9 and 10.
