Reg: Open corruption- Poor Quality Road - Dwarka.

 

The cemented service road in front of main market sector-10 (facing towards sector 11) is in extremely dilapilated condition and is no more motorable. This is relatively new road and is a proof of open & wide corruption prevailing in DDA, at the cost of causing inconvenience to public and promoting pollution the corrupt are flourishing. This road when originally made was also in III grade condition and was to be redone just immediately, but the redone work is also of III grade. It is surprise how your engineers turn blind eyes while approving such poor quality work. You staff can collect further proofs as may be required, however the road condition is visible with open & naked eyes.

 

In view of above:

 

1. Please take action against the concerned corrupt engineer and

2. Direct Chief engineer Dwarka to redo the road and recover the cost from salary of concerned engineer.

Please provide us action taken report within 30 days.

Reg: Unrepaired Road for past 4 months.

Whole Delhi is reeling under heavy pollution. The problem is so grave that even the Delhi Pollution Control committee is actively considering to declare environment emergency in Delhi. This heavy pollution is caused by so many factors and digging is one of them, In Dwarka we witness highly reluctant attitude of DDA officers contributing to the ever growing pollution by not controlling digging. The full carriage way opposite to Bharat petrol pump sec-11 Dwarka is lying dug up for past 4 months. This road was good earlier but DDA instead of repairing pothols itself dug it up the road to increase the value of tender and now not repairing it for several months? The potholes are causing highly inconvenient driving besides raising dust storm. How can be your staff be so careless?

 

You are requested to (i) Order immediate repair of road, (ii) Inquie reasons why this road was dug up by DDA itself instead of repairing potholes, (iii) Why dust control norms are not followed and (iv) why road is left unrepaired for past several months?

1. Despite of repeated letters we find there is no action by DDA to remove encroachments. All DDA officer claim that they regularly inspect roads in their jurisdiction, despite that there is no action. Now we are constraint to understand that this is only due to wide spread corruption in DDA. Age old potholes not repaired. There are several instances of walls, staircases, ramps being constructed on footpaths, genset kept on footpaths, sign boards fixed etc. Sec 12 & 12 A of Dwarka is full of such cases. The city center mall has captured footpaths & raised walls but DDA staff has closed eyes. In order to satisfy our curiosity please provide following information about DDA bribe rate card:

 

1. What is the bribe rate for construction of per running meter of wall on footpath.

2. What is the bribe rate for construction of per staircase on footpath.

 

1. What is the bribe rate for construction of per running meter ramp on footpath.

 

1. What is the bribe rate for stacking gensets on footpath.

 

1. What is per square feet bribe rate for fixing sign board on footpath.

 

1. How this bribe is distributed in among JE, AE & SE and other staff, please provide the formula.

 

1. How much bribe you demand from people to pay for repair of potholes, please provide rate per cubic inch.

1. The mastic carpeting on road in sector 11 near BPC petrol pump has been dug up. There were some potholes on this stretch. Instead of repairing those potholes which may be covering 5-7% of the surface whole surface has been scratched and left as it is for past one month. Please inform (i) the total project cost. (ii) Name of sanctioning officer (iii) Reasons for scratching whole surface (iv) Reasons for not repairing potholes (v) Timelines of project.
