great pilates dvd!

I just completed this DVD today after doing half of it yesterday to supplement a yoga DVD workout. There are 5 sections: abdominals (seemed to be the shortest?), hips and legs, back and shoulders, chest and arms, and balance and flexibility. The sections seem to range from 6 minutes to 12 minutes in length. Most of the workout is done on the mat with the exception of a few standing exercises. I did not need any props to complete the poses. The setting is simple and the music is calming. The instructor instructs live with 2 other models also performing the poses, one of which is always doing the modified version. Some of the poses I would definitely say are intermediate not beginner.(for example the rollups and "snake." and even one of the flexibility poses at the end where you hold your ankles with your legs spread wide and roll back and forth onto your tailbone-this was even hard for the instructor.) This was a nice practice in that I am sore today but do not feel
strain or tightness in my neck muscles like some pilates workouts seem to cause me.
Next to the 10 minute solution pilates DVD's and Denise Austin's Hit the Spot Pilates and her classic workout based on the work of Joseph Pilates I would say this will be my favorite pilates DVD to go to because of the exercises and time factor.
The instructor speaks very clear but is not overly chatty. She seems to be concentrating more on being professional. I really enjoyed this workout!
