Hi Everybody,

We have nearly finalized our bookings for our 40th Annual Delaware Valley
Bluegrass Festival on Labor Day Weekend, 2011 (September 2-4), and believe
we are on target to announce the full lineup on December 1, as has been our
practice for the last several years.

We do, however, want to give you folks on our mailing list a "sneak peek" at
what we've lined up for our historic 40th:

FRIDAY, SEPT. 2: RALPH STANLEY & THE CLINCH MOUNTAIN BOYS

Our festival began in 1972 as a cooperative venture between the Brandywine
Friends, Ralph Stanley and Bill Monroe. Though both Ralph and Bill parted
company with us following the 1973 festival, Ralph has remained a good
friend and frequent visitor to our stage over the decades. We're pleased
that we will be able to bring him "home" for 2011.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 3: A TRIBUTE TO BILL MONROE, FEATURING THE PETER ROWAN
BLUEGRASS BAND AND THE NASHVILLE BLUEGRASS BAND

As noted above, Bill Monroe was a co-founder of our festival, and though he
is sadly no longer with us, we are thrilled to be able to present this
special tribute not only for our 40th year, but for the centennial
anniversary of Bill's birth in 1911. Making his first appearance with us in
many years, Peter Rowan will join in recalling the music he played during
his tenure in Bill's Blue Grass Boys in the late 1960s. And, Mike Compton of
Nashville Bluegrass Band is widely considered the foremost Monroe-style
mandolin player on the scene today.

More news to come in December, stay tuned...
