Hi, was looking to get some feedback on how to resolve this issue. Whenever I open up the DV Viewer, I am always greeted by this message:

CleanShot 2022-08-10 at 09.34.52@2x.png

Things that I have already tried:

- reinstalling dv-runtime via homebrew
- checking the dependencies of dv-runtime for libdvsdk.1.dylib

Any help on this would be great, thanks.

Could you first try to uninstall dv-runtime, dv-processing and libcaer via Homebrew, and then check that the normal DV.app you download from our website works?
If yes, reinstall the above via Homebrew and try running 'dv-runtime --version' first from command-line and then 'dv-runtime' with no arguments, what's the output?

We only test and build on MacOS Monterey 12.X, so make sure to have an updated version, and if you want to build from Homebrew, also an up-to-date XCode and Homebrew itself.
Hope this helps a bit, have a good day!

Thank you, uninstalling the dv-runtime and dv-processing seemed to do the trick.

Once I reinstall all of the above and run  'dv-runtime --version' I get a similar error to the one shown in the gui.

Hi,
We have run in to similar issue. We are working on a bugfix. For now, for ppl who encounter the same problem, you can try:

ln -s /opt/homebrew/Cellar/dv-runtime/1.5.3/lib/libdvsdk.1.dylib /opt/homebrew/Cellar/dv-runtime/1.5.3/bin/libdvsdk.1.dylib

Best,
Jonatan
