A selection of our articles

We carried a great interview with a Dutch immigrant last week: "Dutch street organ in New Jersey. Many Dutch immigrants to the United States bring with them memories and items from home. Few will bring a 2,600 pound, car-sized street organ, as Johanna Vander Heijden did." Read her story.

Two new historical exhibitions in New York: "Excavated Dutch artifacts on display" and "Ships, Explorers and the World Trade Center".

Book reviews: "Tecumseh TenSee", a Dutch-American children's book, and "Observations of a Celebration NL & NY 2009", a review of the NY400 celebrations last year.

Dutch food: Danku in New York closed it doors in January. We visited the thriving The Dutch Epicure Shop and Bakery in Connecticut

Our correspondent in the Netherlands visited Geert Snoeijer's photo exhibition on New York's Holland Society.

Legal news: the Dutch consulate in California moved to San Francisco and the Dutch citizenship law is being reformed. In the United States, the Census 2010 is starting soon.
