I currently use an Xbox Series X, and the main thing I do in MSFS 2020 is domestic flights within the US (I never have time for flights 6+ hours) on the A320N. The current mods that I have are the LVFR Static Aircraft Pack and the A320N North American Liveries Pack.
This little gem surprised everyone when released by being a tiny download size, yet brimming with tasty detail and offering unrivalled stability. The default photogrammetry in Spain is probably the best in the sim so the quality of any mainland Spanish airport is always bolstered by its surroundings.
Orbx have been falling by the wayside just lately but their city packs really are good. They offer London, Sydney, Dublin, Singapore, Dubai, Paris, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland, plus the entire UK in three packs. Frequently on sale, often with big discounts.
Yeah, I kinda had to learn that one the hard way. Since I am financially constricted, I was looking for planes to buy, and I came across the 737-MAX 8. It has poor ratings, and costs $20, but I was really hoping to get another plane, so I bought it anyway. Now, I am really disappointed in the lack of quality in the aircraft.
I keep considering buying the 737-800 from PMDG, but I have to wait to see if it will go on sale - $70 is a pretty penny. I am also interested in buying a 777, but currently, the only option available is not ideal.
I've downloaded the mods, extracted them into the community folder, but the aircraft/scenery aren't showing up in my game. I re-read the instructions, and tried drilling down into the download folders to try and find which one I'm supposed to move into the community folder. I'm new at modding so I need help beyond "extract into community folder."
First of all, welcome to the world of modding! It can be a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find it greatly enhances your MSFS2020 experience. I'll be more than happy to provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to install mods correctly. Let's go through it together.
By following these steps, you should have your mods up and running in no time. Don't worry if it feels a bit confusing at first; with practice, it becomes second nature. If you still run into any issues or need further clarification, feel free to ask.
Im struggling to find my mods in my sim i go to content manager it says not installed but there is no install button there i believe the community folder is correct and i can find my community folder but not my mods in my sim.

I am having a lot of problems getting add-ons to work. First, there is no readme text file in the Zion scenery as you state (view the README file contained within the download). Second, some of your aircraft/scenery instruction says to create a co...
Hello GULLIVER,It sounds like you're facing a couple of challenging issues transitioning from FSX to MSFS2020. I've encountered similar situations in the past, and I'm more than happy to provide some assistance.1) Cockpit Controls not responding...
I fly in and around Atlanta in many different aircraft tuned to GSU VOR and have not received the signal. I am typically VFR, 4500 to 9500 feet. I am using MSFS2020, and Win 11 on a top-of-the-line computer....
Hello everyone,I am new to the Flight Simulator scene. I have owned the game for a while but, to put it bluntly, I am awful at playing it. I picked it back up because somebody in my life has asked me to help them conquer their fear of flying, and are ad...

Whenever I try crash a plane, the plane's nose just gets stuck in the ground, which has been never seen in real life and it is very unrealisitc and unusual. Does anyone know any cool very realistic explosion mods. So like if i crash into the building, the...
I have installed some Add-Ons for FSX and none of them are working, this involves Repaints, Sound and Gauge involved mods. I have disabled Direct X 10 and it still does not work. I have searched high and low on the internet and I have found no solution. M...
Welcome to our brand-new freeware downloads library featuring addons and mods created specifically for Microsoft's latest flight simulator, Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release - also affectionately known as FS2020 by many veteran flight sim enthusiasts and users.
Our selection of scenery enhancements and mods which include complete new airports, reworked airports based on the default, ground terrain, photoreal scenery, and fixes. Also included are reworked cities, towns, and buildings.
Civil and passenger jet aircraft (larger, generally jet-driven) such as those you would fly in on your commercial flights with various airlines around the world. Examples of commercial passenger airlines include; United Airlines, American, British Airways, Emirates, Easyjet, and more.
This category includes many repaints based on the default selection of MSFS2020 aircraft along with new base models including aircraft that are not featured in the standard installation (expansions and mods). This is our most popular category so far.
General Aviation (GA) aircraft including full base models and repaints for third-party and default MSFS aircraft. General Aviation or "light" aircraft include those prop-driven, single-engine, double engine aircraft you would find at your local airfield - these are the aircraft you may have done flight training in or even completed your Private Pilots Licence in.
A selection of some of the finest ultralight, gliders, and microlights that are available for the new simulator. All of the mods and add-ons have been hand-selected and vetted to ensure compatibility and quality. At Fly Away Simulation we don't list everything in our file library, we only list the best add-ons available.
There are many different utilities and tools for MSFS that have been created by freeware developers (and payware demos). The files featured here work alongside the latest flight sim - they make things easier and help you achieve tasks that you wouldn't be able to with the stock install. Our most popular file in this section is without doubt our keyboard commands/bindings list.
It's worth noting that FS2020 isn't an official abbreviation and we will, going forward continue to announce MSFS as the abbreviation that we will use for this new sim (following suit with many other websites and partners).
Exciting isn't it! The new sim was officially released on August 18th, 2020 and already there are freeware releases created and developed by enthusiasts, hobbyists, and members of the flight sim community who have adopted this new sim.
Unfortunately, while many users were hoping and expecting that those previous mods available for FSX would work with this version - they won't - at least not without a great deal of modification and porting over to the new platform.
Having said that, it can be done and many freeware developers are already working on porting their existing FSX releases over to the new 2020 platform using various tools. The new file structure and configuration files are very similar to the legacy platform (FSX/FS2004... etc) and Microsoft has tried their hardest to make development as familiar as possible.
In this category, we will cover many of the different subcategories for the latest version including freeware aircraft (whole models and repaints), scenery files such as airports, fixes, and photoreal, tools, and utilities, and many more sections to be added as releases become available. We also, of course, have our new popular keyboards commands page available to our users.
If you are a freeware developer with something specifically for the latest 2020 Microsoft Flight Simulator release, please see our notice (in green) at the top of this page - we'd love to list your files.
Now, after using the program for awhile, I've found I'm missing something that has always been there. Eleven Community folder mods do not appear when "Liveries" is clicked on in Content Manager. The latter shows the 11 as "Installed," but, they do not appear...
Has anyone else had this happen, and does anyone know how to get the mods back on the screen and in the game?..About the only advice I can find basically says, "Put add-on mods in the Community file and, when selected, they will appear in MSFS."...Unfortunately, I can't get them to do so...Can anyone offer a way to help me get them back?...Thanks for taking the time to help...
My pattern for getting new mods into MSFS has always been: 1. Download mod (mostly from flightsim.to), 2. Open zip (if necessary), and 3. Install first file (mod title) into the Community folder. This routine produced a new mod in MSFS for me just about evey try (90+%)...This was true through MSFS v1.17.13.0...But, not now, in v1.18.14.0 (at least, not for me)...After activating a flight plan, I would click on the aircraft photo (upper left corner) and be taken to Content Manager, which would show me all available aircraft and liveries, including the one I just entered in the Community folder...
