Wait, so they have to kickstart to get their stuff going again? What is Battlefront doing?

Nope, actually the reason they are doing a kick starter is so that they can deliver a full line of minis for Dust in stead of breaking up the expansion in multiple waves (as they have done in the past).  To be honest this is the first KS from a pre-excisting company that I think has been valid.

It may be valid but it is definitely sad. Why would you take on a project you knew you couldn't support? What was Battlefront promising and now not delivering? Flames of war is a big enough game that they should have some semblance of forward momentum. There are a lot of things that don't make sense here.

Dust is produced by Dust Studios, the France/Hong Kong based company run by Pablo Parente, not Battlefront.  Battlefront is just a consultant on Game Design and the printer/distributor.  The model design and production is 100% Dust Studios.
