FYI - If you are you a sibling, parent, or professional ally of someone with a disability please take a moment to complete this survey. Through this initiative funded by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities, First In Families of North Carolina will identify and mobilize adult siblings to build the first ever Sibling Leadership Network in North Carolina. We hope you will join us in our efforts to strengthen sibling support across the state.

SIBLING SURVEY

Are you a sibling, parent, or professional ally of someone with a disability? First In Families of North Carolina (FIFNC) has partnered with the national Sibling Leadership Network (SLN) to develop and disseminate a survey that will allow us to collect information from and about adult siblings of individuals with disabilities. Specifically, the survey will help identify current support systems for siblings, accessibility of supports, gaps in types of support, and areas across the state where more supports are needed. The survey should take 20-25 minutes to complete and your participation is voluntary.  We are asking the following people to complete the survey:

  • Siblings of people with developmental disabilities
  • Parents of people with developmental disabilities
  • People with developmental disabilities
  • Professionals that work with families of people with developmental disabilities

The survey can be found here: Survey

Since this is a national survey for siblings, parents, and people with disabilities, please forward this email to family members and those that may be living in a different state.
