Shift Change:

Putting Democracy to Work

how worker-owned cooperatives are reshaping the economy

At Fullsteam Brewery, 726 Rigsbee Ave, Durham, NC 27701

Monday, May 6th at 7:30pm

ShiftChange movie picture

Following the film Dr. Sandy Smith-Nonini, anthropologist and coordinator of Recyclique/ CommunEcos, and Frank Stasio, host of "The State of Things",  will facilitate a discussion of lessons learned from successful cooperatives, and implications for the Triangle area.

The film describes “True Stories of dignified jobs in democratic workplaces.” Viewers are saying: “Any new economy that is more just, democratic and green must open the door to more democratic forms of ownership.” $5/person suggested donation to offset costs of the screening package. Sponsored by Transition Durham www.transitiondurham.org and Recyclique/CommunEcos www.communecos.org
