Durango Ice Fest

Hi ladies.

 

So the Durango Ice Fest is this weekend. I have never been to this and have never ice climbed but I think I am going to go Saturday at 10 to the women's intro to ice clinic to check it out and see what ice climbing is all about. Is anyone else going or want to go?

 

Does anyone know for sure if there will be gear demo's Saturday for the clinics? I went to SWAG but they were closed and Pine Needle didn't know for sure.

 

Also, last year they had a really cool slide show at Backcountry Experience. I haven't seen anything about a slide show this year. Does anyone know if anything is going? Or is it just Saturday and Sunday with a party at the Abbey on Saturday night?

Hello Ladies -
 
The Durango Ice Festival is on for this Satuday and Sunday. 
 
Backcountry Experience will have a complete demo fleet with crampons, ice tools, helmets, harnesses and everything you might need to ice climb on Saturday and Sunday.  The Black Diamond rep will also be on site on Saturday with their entire ice climbing demo fleet.  All demos for the Durango Ice Fest are FREE. 
 
Please arrive well before your clinic start time to allow for plenty of time to get set up with demos.
