First, if you've not booked for the banquet, this is your last call!
There's still just time for us to squeeze a few more in; download a
booking form now from http://www.dur.ac.uk/treasure.trap/banquet-04.pdf
and send it first-class to Alice _today_, or put it in the pigeon hole in
Dunelm, or give it to me (Tim), Alice, Marios or Jemma so it reaches us by
Friday.
If you have booked, you'll be on the list at the end of this email -
unless you booked since last Thursday, that is (sorry, it's a bit out of
date). If you're concerned that your application might not have been
received, email and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible with
confirmation. And now, some notices...
POST-BANQUET BASH - A Terrific Day Out
IC:
There is a Circus in town and it must be good as the people who go
cannot seem to stop talking about it. However the disappearance of
people recruited to work there is also the talk of Durholm to those
concerned.
Substantial rewards are available to people who are willing to track
these people and bring them back to the safety of Durholme.
Anybody who is willing to help can contact Gwynne Goodson, Little
Tipler, The Palatinate.
OOC:
Come on the pre-Banquet bash!. We've got Stuff. And Jules!!
And more stuff.
Character requests to Mark (m.d.g....@warwick.ac.uk) and Jessica
(j.m.mars...@cranfield.ac.uk) (plenty of spaces free still.
one-offs, NPCs and random things from under stones will all be
considered!!!).
Anyone who is definitely monstering and wants to make a contribution: do
not delay, mail Mark and Jessica Today! You could get to contribute
special encounters and scenes. We will be route walking on Friday if
monsters or refs want to come along...
The PBB is taking place on site on Saturday morning, and should be an
excellent prelude to the banquet. Be there!
DIRECTIONS:
A map and directions are on the booking form
(http://www.dur.ac.uk/treasure.trap/banquet-04.pdf) or on the web at
http://www.dur.ac.uk/treasure.trap/events/banquet/directions.php
Here's a summary: The site is 4 miles NE of Durham City, just off the
A690, 1 mile East of junction 62 of the A1M (opposite Ramside Hall Hotel
and Golf Course). The site is accessed from the top of the lay-by on the
A690, through white iron gates and down a private road to the car park.
That should get you there. If you've got any problems, for example if you
can't find the site, my mobile phone number is 07791 777 621 - ring me and
I'll try to solve your problems!
BEDS:
Some answers to questions we've had on beds:
- If you've got a bedspace, that's for Friday night as well as Saturday
Night.
- My understanding is that the beds have pillows, but that you WILL have
to bring your own sleeping bag or other bedding. I haven't been able to
definitely confirm this with the site yet though.
BOWLS:
We've got a possible slight bowl shortage; if you've got your own
in-character bowls and tankards or glasses, it would be really helpful if
you could bring them - and even more helpful if you could lend us any
extra. Thanks to Eleventh Hour, Ian Macredie, Si Wright and Lynda
Boothroyd for lending/fetching us the ones we've got - if anyone else can
help that would be great!
I think that's everything. An AGM agenda should have been sent out to all
members; it'll also be going up on the website and will have amendments
added when they come in.
See you soon,
Tim
