Feature Request / Suggestion.

Search for duplicates across multiple or all address books. Allow
update of information between duplicates found in different address
books OR allow deletion of one of the duplicates.

Hi, all (Marian, especially). I was extremely grateful for your duplicate-contact-manager for Thunderbird which I used in version 2 and of course now desperately need in Thunderbird version 3.0.1+.

This is a very important extension and I hope you developers can produce it.

I tried out the new build of version 0.7 and I'm sure you know that at this point after pressing the start button, the count of duplicates just changes to 0 00, 000, etc. upon each press of a start button, but the duplicates process never happens.

If this information is new or surprising to you, feel free to write me for details..

Good luck!

Is there a way to merge attributes (selectively) of duplicates?

Thanks

Nice add-on!
i have a problem after synchronizing my mobilephone with thunderbird. i
got one contact in tb 3.0.1 with email and i got a dublicate contact
with only the telephone-number from my mobilephone's adress book.
is it possible to take information from one contact (e.g. email-adress)
and put it to the duplication which has e.g only mobile number?
would be great!

sincerly
chris

decent add on... lots of duplicates I didn't have to see taken care of in
background... however, it would not allow me to make changes to contacts during
the process... description clearly states that changes can be made to contacts
during the process. I have to go back and fix a couple of contacts that I could
not change in process... only had option to pick the best of 2 even if partially
incorrect data.

Hi I just downloaded my Duplicate finder 2 for Thunderbird, I was planning on deleting out Thunderbird because I couldn't find
this feature.  I believe with all the sinking you can do with phones, ipods etc, that this is very important to have, especially for
someone who tries to stay in order.

One thing missing, it would be nice when searching duplicates if one could edit information to add things or take them away,
example:  try looking at Gmail's engine for this, I wish Thunderbird's worked as well  :)

I'm not complaining, I just want all of Mozilla's apps, to work well and effectively!

Thank you for your time,
Carol

Same for me.
I even tried to rename one Address book to "Untitled Address Book"
since duplicate-contact-manager insisted this is the only name it
knows.
Any Ideas until now?
Need more information? Please feel free to contact me.
