Welcome to the Dances of Universal Peace,

Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) embrace dancing and singing mantras from all the different spiritual traditions. They are sung in a circle and have simple movements which are learnt at the beginning of each dance. There are many, many dances and they link to the elements of earth, water, air and fire. They can be deep, fun, healing, connecting and heart opening. Created by Samuel Lewis, a Sufi, his vision was to bring people together to sing, dance, and pray together in oneness.
Donation to share the costs: $5 to $10 appreciated

The Hawke's Bay dances are at One Yoga Pilates Studio, 106 Market St South, Hastings (down the lane next to Little Blackbird Cafe) on the fourth Sunday of each month at 4.30pm in the winter and 5pm in the spring/summer. They are followed by shared finger food.
