Subject: BIPHA SE
Hi Dunmow
I hope you don't mind me emailing you but I was talking to one of your parents
this afternoon and I said I'd send this to some Dunmow contacts. She
suggested Gary
but I don't have his email - perhaps someone could forward this to him if they
do have it. Please forgive me if any of these contacts are out-of-date
and no longer playing with Dunmow.
I know there were some problems last season because of the number of teams with
players playing in different leagues making the fixtures virtually impossible.
However, these teams won't be playing this season and I've had a number
of enquiries from younger teams either not playing games at all or playing in a
league where they are not, to put it bluntly, having much fun (ie getting
thrashed every time) and since my club, the Tigers, is in the same position (ie
they haven't had any games since last May), I said I'd try to get BIPHA SE
going for these age-groups.
We are hoping to start up in March at Swanley with five dates booked so that
players have plenty of notice. These dates are: March 1,
29, April 26, May 3, 10. They avoid Easter and half-term holidays.
The age-groups for this season are as follows:
10s - born '98 or later
12s - born '96 and '97
14s - born '94 and '95
16s - born '92 and '93
18s - born '90 and '91
21s - born '87, '88 and '89
seniors - born '86 or ealier
As you know, we are a small league and so there aren't many games - probably
six or eight per age-group. However, if anyone wants more, clubs can
arrange friendly games between themselves. We won't be running all
age-groups but are hoping to run 10s or 12s, 14s and 16s. 21s and seniors
are already going - though we are open to any newcomers.
We know how much hockey costs and so really try to keep things as reasonable as
possible:
Team registration - £15 per team (to a max of
£60)
Games
- £30
Regional registration - £2
Player registration - £25 (except for 10s who are
free or £15 if playing up to 12s)
Bench coaches/officials - £20
31 January is the cut-off for registrations and so if you think you might like
to give us another go, we'd need to know fairly soon, though we might be able
to get an extension. Please think about this and email back with any
questions or ring me on 01892 535439. I'm not around tomorrow at all
(work and training) but should be in Wednesday from 4.30pm.
Regards
Jenifer
