I'm afraid we're competing with three other ball leagues plus GBHI (all of whom are liable to last minute changes) and that's apart from tournaments, and general other family commitments. 

Any of this can lead to a team who has not given the date as an exclusion, then saying they can't play.  I'm then left with a gap to fill and so might send out a last-minute fixture to try to recoup the money that would otherwise be lost.

At the beginning of the season, I send out the fixture dates and ask clubs for exclusions.  If I don't receive an exclusion I assume the team is available to play.  Obviously if they haven't sent the date as an exclusion but later commit to something else, I rather expect that they'll let me know.  What actually happens is that I spend hours doing the fixtures, send them out and only then does the team tell me they can't play.  This has happened with every single date from October onwards and has caused considerable problems this season.

Please assume you will have games on 8 June.  Will get back asap with times.

yesterday was the first time I heard of this date as a possible match date for U14.

So I advised we can not play,  If you sent the dates out earlier than 2 weeks before the it would be possible to advise earlier.

 

The last email you sent out mentioned 8 June as a match date for U14 . We can play this date.

Every time I send out fixtures someone says they can't play.  You did not give this date as an exclusion.

Unfortunately Dunmow U14 can not play on this date as a number of players  are attending another tournament.
