Cult of *Redeemed Mindflayers

How can a braineating monster refrain from braineating? The key to
this is not to eat sentient beings like humans, elves or even drow,
but large animals such as bulls, stallions and bears can be on the
menu, although such beasts only statisfy the brain-eating cravings for
eight days, not a month. And of course, there are monsters a paladin
would find irredeemable, and mind flayers are on the list.

However, in the Book of Exalted Deads, there is a picture of a mind
flayer next to a section titled Redeemed Villains. The mind flayers
call these Kur'shoon'qua, eaters of lower beasts, as an insult, among
those who rather dine on elf or such. A 'cult' of mind flayers is any
number more than two associating with each other as allies for longer
than a week, or hunting parties led by a dynamic leading mind
flayer...
