Kia ora koutou,
An update from Jonathan, course planner for the Maryhill Rogaine, 22 February:

The course is shaping up nicely and we are looking forward to seeing you all Sunday 22 February!

To ensure we have enough maps printed, please register online before midnight on Tuesday 17 February here:

(This rogaine requires handwritten answers, so please bring a few pens or pencils with you)

Course Safety:
As this is an urban rogaine, a few notes on safety:
The course isn't suitable for unaccompanied children - kids, please team up with an adult.

High vis or, at least colourful clothing is encouraged in order to be visible to the many motorists who will be moving around the course.

There are lots of narrow streets.
Footpaths start and stop in places that require a good dollop of common sense to deal with.

Please dress appropriately for the weather on the  day.

Toilets:
The only public toilets are at the very perimeter of the map ( or off the map) at Mornington, Caversham, and the Oval.

Terrain:
There are lots of cool alleyways, a wee bit of bush, and the old Maryhill tram route bisects the map, but sadly no trams will be running 😉

I will be surprised if anyone will be able to clear the course, but you never know! It is hilly terrain, but there is a reasonable amount achievable without steep hills for those who need to avoid these.

Schedule:
Registration and map hand out from 12pm
Briefing at 12.50 pm
Mass start at 1pm
Finish 3pm

Come early, so you have time to plan your course!
