We usually hold a School / Summer Series of events in Term 1, culminating in an Otago School Champs / OY event. This year, we are trialling different timing; the beginning session will start at the end of Term 1, and continue across Term 2. The dates, along with other club events, are as follows;
(Sunday 8th March - Urban rogaine #2, Port Chalmers, a fundraiser for St Leonard's School)
Sunday 29th March - School Series introductory / orientation day and Club AGM - Chingford Park
(Sunday 19th April - OYClassic#2, Alexandra, Chatto Creek)
Sunday 3rd May - School Series #1 sprint event 1
Sunday 10th May - School Series #2 middle distance event
(Sunday 17th May - Southland Schools Orienteering Champs)
Sunday 7th June - School Series #3 sprint event 2
Sunday 14th June - School Series #4 long distance event
Sunday 28th June - Otago Schools' Champs / OY Classic #3, Waikouaiti

Pre-register, using the google form link provided, to ensure we have enough maps for everyone on the day, and to speed up registration processes.
Remember that membership allows for half price maps. If you are a first time member, you pay only half the membership subscription rate. For example, a first time student / junior, will pay $10 to join for the year.

MARYHILL METROGAINE, Sunday 22 February.
A 2 hour street rogaine around Dunedin Central Suburbs.
It is the first of 3 urban rogaines planned this year, within the Dunedin city area.
Event Centre: Kirriemuir Street Playground. Corner Kirriemuir Street and Forfar Street, Maryhill
Registration opens at 12 noon.
Briefing (compulsory): 12:50pm.
Start: 1 pm
Finish: 3:00 pm.

Registrations can be made on the day but we can't guarantee maps for all team members.
Cost:
Adults $20 per map Under-18s and Tertiary students $10 per map. Max. charge for a family $50.
50% discount on event fees for members of an orienteering club. (Adult $10, Junior/Student $5, Family $25
This rogaine requires handwritten answers, so please bring a few pens or pencils with you as they will not be supplied.
