Happy New Year everyone.
This is a reminder that our major event for 2026 is taking place at Waitangi Weekend. We are celebrating the 50th Jubilee of the formation of the Dunedin Orienteering Club with four events and a heavily subsidised barbecue meal and social evening at the Middlemarch Hall.
The
programme is as follows:
Friday 6th Feb: 3:00pm. Little Mt Ross. A short course/sprint event. EWT, 15
minutes. 2 hour start window. 3 courses. Planner, Charlotte Cotter. Controller,
Tim Webb.
Friday 6th Feb: 8:30pm for the white course and later for yellow and orange
(sunset is about 9:05pm so bring your head torches). Mt Ross. A short/middle
event. EWT, 30 minutes. A series of mass starts. 3 courses. Planner, Darrell Thomson.

Saturday 7th Feb: 11:00am. Gladbrook. Long Distance event, Dunedin Club Classic
OY#1. 2 hour start window. 6 courses. Planner, Daniel Johnston. Controller, Nick
Mortimer.
Saturday 7th Feb: 4:00pm to late. Middlemarch Hall. 50th Jubilee Celebration.
Barbecue food at 6:00pm followed by speeches, cake-cutting and reminiscences.
BYO beverages.
Sunday 8th Feb: 10:30am. Sutton. Novelty Middle distance relay style event.

Please enter as soon as possible. We need the final numbers for the meal caterers by Friday 16th January and event entries close on Wednesday 21st January. There will be no “on the day” entries.
