Running mini DEC PDP11 (PiDP11 project) - is it time to bring back paper tape

This may not interest everyone but I have purchased a PiDP-11 kit as a early Christmas gift to myself (PDP-11 Replica: the PiDP-11)

 

The thing that I really want to do is look at creating a paper tape reader/writer for the PDP11 say a (DEC PC05 paper tape reader/puncher) so my first question to the group is do any of you know if there is any old DEC hardware laying around in storage?

 

Secondly would anyone be intreated in working with me on a project to create a PC05 paper tape reader/writer in 2025.

 

I will warn you all that I have been side tracked into running up a simulated DEC VAX/VMS platform (I was a sysop at the Uni back in the 90’s and couldn’t help myself) however this was not without its software challenges due to the VMS Hobbyist program no longer being supported.

 

I don’t know if anyone is still interested in running VMS these days and I am sure that there are even fewer people running RSX-11
