Kia ora koutou,
The Creative Power Workshop Series launched last weekend in Tāmaki Makaurau – and the room was buzzing. Writers, directors, editors, and performers came together to connect, kōrero, and take the first steps toward shaping a stronger, fairer screen industry. If you missed it... you missed something special!
But don’t worry – we’re just getting started. And you’ve still got a chance to be part of it.
In partnership with our friends at DEGANZ and Equity NZ, we’re hitting the road to bring these free, nationwide workshops to creatives across Aotearoa.
These aren’t just info sessions. Creative Power is an immersive, face-to-face experience where we unpack the Screen Industry Workers Act (SIWA), share stories and strategies, and get real about what it takes to build a sustainable career in this industry – together.
You’ll walk away with:
✔️ A deeper understanding of your creative rights under SIWA
✔️ Tools to navigate collective bargaining and workplace protections
✔️ Clarity on your value – and how we secure that value collectively
✔️ Connections with others who care about the future of our industry
And yes – there’ll be drinks, snacks, and time to catch up with old friends and meet new collaborators. Don’t be the one hearing about it later. Be the one who shows up.
This moment is about us – our stories, our mahi, our power. We’re stronger when we stand together, and it all starts here.
Workshops are free – but space is limited. Register now to save your spot.

We can’t wait to see you there – kanohi ki te kanohi.
