Could I help with the textures?

Since I read the Dune books, i thought they'd be amazing in Minecraft. And id love to help out on a dune mod. I'm good at photoshop, world edit/MC edit, building and configuring/making servers. Id like to help out on creating the textures for this mod, and if you can port it to SMP id be happy to get it set up and ready to go. :-) As far as world painter and building go's if you want add pre generated Sietch's or spice mining outposts to the world gen then I could deffinalty have a shot a building some and sending you the .schematics or whatever you want, for adding.

I don't know how to program in java though so sorry I couldn't help you there. But I have an idea for the programming of the sand worms, you could modify the coding of the ender dragon, when it go's through blocks i.e destroying them. for the tunnelling through the sand. and for worm signs the sand blocks above it could turned into entitles and launched mabye 3-8 blocks (depending on how deep it is) up to make a ripple effect like that described in the book.

As far as modifying the enderdragon, I have already done an experiment where I managed to make it turn blocks into sand instead of destroying them.  I am plannning to make blocks shift upward to create wormsign however they will fall back down to where they were to prevent heavy degradation to the landscape.

I do not know if or when the mod will be ported to smp however it is open source so if you find someone who is able and willing to do this let me know.  I currently have very limited time so I cant make any promises.

Feel free to create texture packs, contirbute ideas, or try your hand at some programming.  The source files will soon be available on github.

By the way, as i am in America and not Australia and thus have summer break at the opposite time of the year, I will be going back to college in a week.  At that time i will not be able to work on the mod very much.  I will try to work on it as much as possible though.

Sure...  we can combine latter.  Going to work to make smiler code to naga (cant use there source directly without permission).
