Hi all. I'm not sure why, but the Dune group site isn't allowing me to update pages anymore. I contacted google groups about it, and I'm awaiting their response. Until then, I'll just 'post' my updates to the page here, and hopefully Christiane won't mind copy/pasting what I write into our conversation? I know it's a bit of a favor to ask. It seems to be the best way for me to keep updating though while we get through this bug.
Here's Aleksandr's next part of the conversation. These statements aren't necessarily consecutive. Meaning, if you want to insert Rosa's responses between any of the things he says, feel free to go ahead and do that. I thought this might be a way to speed up the process, since dialogue is such a slow process in RPing.
Aleksandr hadn't intended for this conversation to take this path, but now that he was on it, he would see it through. "Of course it is," he replied. "Every day I make it my goal to perform just that feat with those of my House. But what sparks admiration among some will also always spark jealousy among others. Not everybody can be trusted to respond appropriately.
"It was good of you to draw up the distinction in our use of words. As you perhaps have noticed, or more likely even heard in advance, I have a tendency to get wrapped up in what I'm discussing! My sister has performed much deeper studies in the fields of speech and debate than I have though. That type of finesse... well, sometimes I'd just rather get the job done!"
