Hi all,
I thought I'd start a thread where we could post about our experiences
getting access to the wave sandbox, and initial impressions of using
it.

I'm about to apply for access later today, anyone already done it /
got it?

2009/6/3 Brian Boswell <eloquen...@googlemail.com>:

I applied for access last Friday, but I and almost everyone else are
still waiting. It seems Google are inviting everyone who attended the
Google I/O conference first.... Though judging by the traffic and
conversation on the official wave groups, most if not all the
attendees are still waiting for the wave team to fly back to Australia
and invite them.

This said I discovered this article through ensembli today which
implies that the technology press are already getting early access
accounts:

Hopefully Google will scale up their wave operations soon, and send us
all invites!

I have a feeling we'll be waiting for a while!

Maybe it is influenced by the quality of the "message to the wave team" that you put in on sign up? :)

Did anyone else write a Haiku to the Wave team, or was that just me?

I sent them an ASCII art mouse. Which, in hindsight, probably means I'll be last to receive my invitation.

haiku
...but that's just in the 'let me know when it's ready' bit rather
than the request for developer access I think.
If you want to request developer access to the sandbox there's a link
to it on the wave api page http://code.google.com/apis/wave/
I missed it at first and just clicked the 'let me know when it's
ready' button after watching the video, just in case anyone else makes
the same mistake I did.

There was definitely an option for helping test and reporting bugs in
that form and I'm pretty sure the developer access link wasn't there
before.

Guess I'll apply for that too.

I reckon it'll take them a while to roll it out but as mentioned
before I've seen it a lot on Tech blogs that they have access.

now -
