Does anyone know of the names of any Duncan's that served in the Rev/War related to our group (F Group) Your assistance would be most appreciated. Gary in Nashville

Hi Gary,

I don't know if this is relevant, but I do know that anyone that is a descendant of William Peter Duncan (1841-1913, Georgia) is eligible to be a member of either the DAR or SAR organization because his maternal great-grandfather, Allen Gay (1765-1847) is registered as a Revolutionary Soldier with the Daughters of the American Revolution.

 

 

Also, I suspect but can't prove, that William Peter Duncan's paternal great-grandfather Mathew Duncan (aka Dunkin) (c1740-1816) was a Revolutionary Soldier as well. See attached documents in

support of that theory.
