Hello, I received my brand new HP Color LaserJet M255dw at work and immediately after unpacking it, it already returned an error (59.C0 error). I followed the instructions I could find on the forum, but cycling the printer ON/OFF several times, or replacing the cartridges one at a time didn't clear the error. It's a brand new printer! - Would anyone has a solution? Thank you in advance!
59,c0 errors often indicate a problem with the drive train of the printer. I checked my HP tech resources and found nothing in terms of common or known issue with this model so my best advice would be to return it to place of purchase for exchange. It might possibly be a cartridge problem and one way to test is to remove all the toners, power the device off then on and install the cartridges one by one to see if one of the toners is the issue. Also ensure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, any surge protector or other high current draw device on the same circuit like an AC unit or heater can cause issues as well.
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated! I've already tried all these solutions, and nothing seem to be clearing out the error. I will seek to return the printer to HP; hopefully they can exchange it with another one soon!
59 error could be a bad motor or Developer motor rotation error. Remove all toner, power cycle the printer, and re-install one at a time, closing the access door each time before inserting another. See if one of the supplies seems to trigger the error.
59.C0 = Developer motor rotation error. With this printer it usually means the product needs to be replaced. What you can try is to remove all toners and then start up the printer and see if the error appears. If not put one toner in the machine at a time to see if the error occurs as it is always possible one of the drums is seized causing the error.

So, basically when i take the magenta cartridge out i never get the error when i start up the printer but i cant print until i put the magenta cartridge in. But then i get the error. I read about something motor developer error or something like that. Anybody have a lead on what to do?
Samuel Maldonado you are right. It is listed as a Developer motor rotation error. Try to go through the error troubleshooting listed on here After that you would have to do some deep digging and may need the repair manual from here
On my printer, one of the cartridges was jammed. You can diagnose if one of your cartridges is the problem by taking out all the cartridges, then add them back into the printer one at a time, rebooting the printer each time. When the error comes up, you have found the cartridge (or motor) that is causing the problem. In my case, it was the cyan cartridge. I was then able to fix the problem by manually rotating the roller on the cyan cartridge. This must have unstuck something because I put it back in and the printer is now functioning normally.
Have you performed a hard reset on the printer?
1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
6 Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Try to print. If the issue persists, it would confirm that the product has experienced an error with the fuser unit,
And requires a repair or replacement.

Troubleshooting
Start by unplugging the USB/Ethernet cable and restarting the printer. By doing this method, it will let you know if the last print job was corrupted. If the unit restarts properly, print a supplies report to confirm the motors are operational and the paper path is cleared. After a minute has elapsed, reconnect the USB/Ethernet cable so that the pending jobs will print. If those jobs print just fine, your issue is now over. If the 59.F0 Error returns, you will need to cancel the jobs from the computing device.
I have 2 printers of the same model, when i put letter size paper on the tray 2 the printer sometimes detects "legal" size and refuse to change it back to letter. To resolve the issue i need to take out the tray, shake it a little bit and put in again until the printer detects the correct size again but when i print 200 or more pages the size of the paper changes on itself.
Although the printer is connected to the iOS, but it is not printing with the help of AirPrint. With the help ot HP smart it is printing through the same device. When I am printing from AirPrint ios then the screen on printing is loading while flashing "printing document" for 4-5 seconds and then it doesn't print.
I can't find the Cleaning Page option for HP 107a in Windows 10. When I click on "Printer properties" and then in "Device options", instead of Windows 10 options there is a HP panel with no Cleaning Page option whatsoever. The same with the HP Easy Printer Manager panel on the desktop taskbar. How can I print a cleaning page for this printer in Windows 10?
We recently replaced the transfer belt to our HP M452dw. We ran a demo page and it only prints in black. We have done a 'restore factory default' and same issue. Toner is full and is original HP. We are quite sure we did not damage any parts while replacing the belt. Any suggestions?
