Danielle, nobody likes a dirty girl." Today's indie trailer via Apple is for something a little dirty, the indie Dirty Girl starring Juno Temple as, well, a dirty girl. It's actually a roadtrip coming-of-age movie, but it doesn't really seem like it, at least not really an interesting one. Despite starring the rather talented Juno Temple, as well as Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Mary Steenburgen, Dwight Yoakam and Jeremy Dozier, this doesn't look good at all. It received dismal reviews at TIFF last year, but it might interest or connect with a few of you, and I wanted to feature it anyway. Check it out if you think Juno Temple will impress you.

It's 1987 and Danielle (Juno Temple), the 'dirty girl' of Norman High School in Oklahoma, is running away. With her is chubby gay Clarke, a bag of flour called Joan and a Walkman full of glorious 80's tunes.

Dirty Girl is both written and directed by American filmmaker Abe Sylvia, a graduate of UCLA making his feature directing debut after the shorts My Mother's Hairdo and Feltch Sanders, and commercials work for Svedka. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Fest last year, where it was picked up by The Weinstein Company for distribution. Dirty Girl is now set to arrive in limited theaters October 7th this fall. Curious?

When Luanne and I started Clean Food Dirty Girl in 2014 I knew I was going to have to start writing on a regular basis because besides video, how else do you connect with people all over the world from your computer (on a Wednesday morning while pantless and double fisting peanut butter stuffed dates)?

This was all fine and dandy apart from the teeny tiny fact that I was scared shitless to write because I was horrible at spelling and grammar and I did not consider myself to be a natural writer. But if I wanted to start my own thing online (which I wanted even more than three baby goats on my lap), I was going to have to fake the funk and start writing anyway.

Sometime in 2014, I found Ash Ambirge and her company, The Middle Finger Project. I was hooked from the get-go. Her real talk, her cussy ways, her fuck YES attitude, her advice about business and writing, it all worked for me. I was smitten.

Ash and her Middle Finger project gave me the pass I needed to say fuck it, and present my business to the world in a way that I have fun doing it. She is a warrior of words, a champion of authenticity, and the queen of staking your claim and going after what you want with vigor, a martini, and hot pink lipstick. So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that she had agreed to chat with me about her new ass-kicking book that just dropped! I could not wait to get on screen with her and talk about business and life and whatever else came up.

The morning of our video call, my armpits were literally dripping with sweat, and my stomach felt like it had a small to medium-sized camel in it. I was equal parts shit-scared-nervous and holy-shit-excited. As I suspected, she was a pure delight to talk with.

Always look forward to my Sunday email which is always a good read as is the blog page it directs to and of course not to mention the free recipe. Never had tempeh before and this looks an interesting way to prepare it.

My boss let me borrow his hitch-equipped Nissan Pathfinder so I could join my two good friends, Julia and Joslyn, for a day in the desert. We have a lightweight folding Kendon single-rail trailer at the office, and with its low height and built-in front wheel chock it was a cinch to load the bike by myself.

Then we came to a steep, loose descent and I full-on panicked. Descents are my kryptonite, almost guaranteed to turn my arms to steel and my legs to jelly. I slid to a stop at the top, looking down and trying to talk my pounding heart into just chilling the heck out.

We all had a great day of riding, and by the end it was clear that our co-ed day was good for everyone. The boys got to ride fast and play together, the girls got to bond and build (or re-build) our confidence.

Vintage Motorcycle Road Racing occupied much of my riding time from 2005 to 2009, and I enjoyed every minute of five wonderful racing seasons. Sometimes it felt like a very steep learning curve, but I'm really glad to have the wonderful memories. Even learning to back up a trailer (which was agonizing at the time) is funny in retrospect. VRRA #418 - NS250F* HondaDirty Girl's Vintage Road Racing Seasons2009Fifth season of wonderful vintage racing with my Honda NS 250 F, which is still running very vigorously after 5 summers of road racing; pretty good for a two-stroke street bike that is now over 25 years old. Mind you, I'm over 25 too... and I'm still eagerly learning more about racing, about my bikes, and about motorcycling, and this season was a good year for learning. 2009 Shannonville Quinte TT - Mosport Vintage Festival - North Bay Runway Romp - 2009 Season2008Another fantastic season of vintage racing, the NS and I enjoyed considerably improved performance with last winter's updates. My lap times, particularly at Mosport, improved over last year. This is also the first year my silencers have remained in place on the bike throughout the entire racing season.2008 Quinte TT - Mosport Vintage Festival - North Bay Runway Romp - 2008 Season2007Third Season; Yes, it still takes me a month to find my packing list and get organized for racing, but by now at least I know what I need to organize! In 2007 the NS 250 benefits from updates to the front suspension, which turned out to be quite overdue.2007 Quinte TT - Mosport - Runway Romp - 2007 Season2006Second Season; well, I may have learned a lot in my first season, but that didn't deprive me of the opportunity to learn and re-learn in my second season. The NS 250 F runs very reliably, apart from shedding silencers, but by the end of my second season I'm starting to contemplate updates (well, 'period correct modifications' in the vintage world).2005Rookie Season; my first year of vintage motorcycle road racing. Yes, in theory, racing is about going fast. Turns out there's way more to it then that. It's also about standing in the right line up at the right time, which was considerably easier than learning to back up a trailer. Let's just say I had to learn a lot of new stuff to go racing! The Story of a Rookie Season in Vintage Motorcycle Road RacingShannonville - First Race ReportMosport - Second Race ReportNorth Bay - Third Race ReportWhat I did in the off-season... This bike has been converted for vintage racing, and was successfully campaigned in the VRRA's P4F3 class from 2005 to 2009 without a single DNF! Bike runs very reliably, with many failure-prone parts removed from the system (oil injector, fuel pump, all unnecessary street equipment) - it runs on 2-stroke gas-oil premix. This Honda has a very easy kick-start, with a total-loss battery to run the tachometer, it's an easy vintage bike to keep going throughout a weekend of racing, and is fully safetywired and ready to go, with an eligibility number registered with the VRRA. Lifelong friends Kate (Mamrie Hart), Evie (Grace Helbig) and Charlie (Hannah Hart) are in a rut. Kate spends her days at a middling job and her nights alone or on failed dates. Evie is married with the in-laws from hell, wandering from one charitable cause to the next. Charlie has the girl of her dreams but just can't seem to pull her business (or her act) together. On the eve of Kate's 30th birthday, she agrees to let Evie and Charlie throw her a party. But what's supposed to be a simple celebration becomes a wild who's who of past and present, and things quickly spiral out of control.

We have the first trailer and poster for Dirty 30, and it could be the sleeper hit of the fall. It reunites Electra Woman and Dyna Girl duo Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart, pairing them with comedian Mamrie Hart for 86 minutes of unadulterated shenanigans that harken back to the trios earlier days as internet superstars. Mamrie Hart&#160and&#160Grace Helbig wrote the screenplay from a story by Mamrie Hart and Molly Prather.
