Just in case you are wondering:

1) No, a military parade in DC, tearing up the streets, to celebrate the Army - whom I as a Vietnam Marine, honor (they saved my butt numerous times)- is inappropriate. Nor is the combining of honoring the Army and celebrating POTUS's  birthday appropriate. In fact it is indecent to the men and women of today's armed forces to combine the two.
2) No, Marines from San Diago are not there legally. I'll bet they resent it, but like me in 1969, they obey orders they believe to be legal. It's up to us, and the court system, to prove otherwise and return them to their primary mission;
3) Yes, Hopefully the expensive farce of projecting US military forces against countrymen (and women) will be exposed soon. Military personnel know the difference between a firecracker and a mortar shell. They resent leaders who suggest, at the possible cost of their lives, the difference.

PS: the current POTUS is:
- a draft dodger
- a convicted felon
- a liar
I challenge anyone to suggest otherwise

Thank you, Chris!  I really appreciate knowing your response to all of this.  You probably remember that Elmer and I tried to talk you out of joining the Marines….  It is clear that it was a good experience for you, and I am glad that you are here to tell about it!😍

We need more current military folks to stand up like they did against the Vietnam war.  See Concerned Officers Movement.
