Sorry this email's coming out a little late... This Sunday from 4-6pm
we'll have a meeting to test the briquettes we made last week. We'll
first get together on the second floor of Teer, outside of the Vesic
library entrance. If you show up a little late you might find us in the
Teer basement labs or in the outdoor space between Teer and Hudson. We
will probably have to be outside for the burning tests so bring some
warm clothes. I'll put a rough briquette-testing protocol on the
website; your comments on it would be great.
Other items on the Sunday to-do list: set goals for our second semester
work, discuss DukeEngage and how it relates to this project, maybe make
more briquettes, talk about Monday (see below).
Amy Smith is coming to Duke this Monday. Hooray! We'll have ten
minutes to present our work up to now and then she'll give a talk on
something cool. I've been told that any of the team members can give a
part of the presentation. We'll talk more about it all Sunday. Email
me if you can't make it this weekend. Hope to see you soon!
Matt
