Friday's the big day. 4-6pm on the engineering quad. We'll be roasting
corn and gathering the cobs. I was told I couldn't bring my truck out
there so we'll be given those little cardboard trashcans for gathering
the cobs instead. It would be great if people could show up to support
EWB, take photos, help cook, and help gather the corn for however long
you can stay. We'll probably get the cooking started at around 3pm for
those that can make it that early.
The attached document has my notes from the Tuesday meetings. The
binding/burning processes and ideas could probably stand some
refinement; I'll put the text up on the discussion section of the google
groups site.
Friday at about 1pm I'll be heading to Harris Teeter to pick up our corn
(~250 ears!) and some other minor foodstuffs. If anyone wants to come
along, let me know.
I'm still up in the air about whether we should meet this weekend to
start the burning. We'll be drying the cobs in some manner to prevent
rotting and I don't know if they'll be ready for any sort of
experimentation by Sunday. I will continue thinking about it (your
ideas on the matter are most welcome) and email people if there will be
a weekend burn event.
That's all I've got for now, hope to see you Friday at 4pm.
Matt
